What kind of problem I should have to have 36hp of wasted power?

Saw a car with b16a2 and he had less wasted power. Beside that my car has more power at the engine but less power at the wheels compares to that from a friend.

Whats possible could be wrong :angry2:

My clutch seems to be OK and i already have a spoon sports 4,2Kg flywheel...

alignment, worn wheel bearings, tire pressure, heavy/bent wheels.

How do you know your car has more power at the engine compared to your friend? Did you ever have it on an engine dyno?

The average drivetrain loss for the EK9 is around 32hp (i.e a stock EK9 should make 150ish @ the wheels) and this is based on a new car. Your car is at least 10 years old, so the figure you quote is normal.

As for your friends car, apples & oranges :)

Well that number's came in the dyno sheet.

About the worn wheel bearings I think thats really the problem, I didn't think about that but make a lot fo sense. And I already listen that characteristic noise coming from the bearings but i though was coming from the parada's. After all is 15 years old my EG6.

Thank's ragingangel you the boss :)

my car was down by nearly 8mpg when my wheel bearings were bad... felt like i had a load of bricks in the trunk...

jack up the nose of the car. Face the wheel, and tug the top of the wheel towards you. Rock it back and forth, if you notice play, popping or noise - replace.

Of course if it's really bad, you'll hear and feel it when driving

36whp? how similar are your setups? Also wheel weight, shorter gearing and Final drive affects whp too.
