Well lads I am purchasing a full set of coilovers soon but undecided as to pick D2 coilovers or Tein. Both are good but still not sure which too pick! I have plans to put a h22a in my ek soon and want a strong decent set of coilovers!

So which would be your pick? Let me know lads!

Thanks:drive:

PIC performance. Very, very good coilover and you can choose your spring rates. Maybe they can recommend a rate for the front that will handle the H22's 80+ pounds that you're putting in the front.

I would never use D2 (too many problems to be considered a good coilover in this market). Tein is good, but only when you get the pricey models like the Flex.

Thanks for your expert reply! You think it would wise to get in contact with them to see what they would recommend?

Yes, even if you don't decide to buy their product, they'll steer you in the right direction.
It doesn't matter too much that you're adding the H22 in the front. But if for some reason you want to go really low (no finger gap) with the car you'll need some very stiff front springs to make sure you don't bottom out.

If you want a nicely lowered, but still useable ride height, you could use 10kg/mm or even 8kg/mm springs in the front. Generally in street cars on PIC, they recommend 2K less in the rear. So your coilovers might be 10K-F/8K-R or 12K-F/10K-R, ect.

problem with pic is based in u.s so any warranty claim or rebuild/service means cost/hassle of sending to u.s and back

d2 i wouldnt touch

dont rate tein myself but has that internet brand loyalty now and image although i think has u.k office so any issues should be easy to sort

meister r is new brand in u.k, cant comment as not run them but guy that owns company is very helpful, product semms very good and well speced, you could have chat with him to see what custom spring rate would suit you with heavier engine up front etc

what about bc? been reading good reports on here and other forums.
