Which tyres do you think are BETTER than Yokohama Parada Spec II?

These came on the car when I bought it and I have a trackday next month and it is meant to be pretty abrasive, so will eat my fronts.

So, after the trackday, it may be a good opportunity to just change all 4 corners rather than just the two up front after the trackday.

I've read mixed results on the Parada and I don't really have anything to compare them to on the EK9 as this is all I have driven the EK9 on.

Obviously there are better and more expensive tyres out there, but I am looking for something around the same price mark,

I have used Toyo and Eagle F1's in the past on other motors.

Thanks!

have a look on demon tweeks web site, tyres going cheap prada £117 plus vat for four...I've got them for wet weather

eagle f1's all day everyday
only £50 a corner and handle extremely well in the wet+dry.:nice:

kuhmo ecsta (spelling?) I have them on my 9 they handle great in wet+dry! :)

There are lots of great tires out there, just depends how much your willing to sacrafice to have grip, Potenza RE01r/Falken RT615/Hankook RS2 all have great grip but don't last too long...

I've used the T1-R before. Seem to be a soft compound and don't last very long compared to something like the Eagle F1?

Used Eagle F1 before and can't really fault them. Got them for £33 per corner IIRC.

For F1 users, how do you think they compare to Parada?

EDIT:

Just seen your post Blinx..I see what you mean. Generally I will do 40-50 miles per day and use the car everyday..its a daily drive. So I guess some good wear would be nice.

Go for the O.E fit tyre the Bridgestone re010 mate ,you wont look back :nice:

hankook RS2s are the best tyre ive ever put on my car in dry its amazing and wet its as good as eagle f1s
im not gona buy anything else from now on,and ive ran parada spec2s eagle f1s,toyo

I cant comment on the yoko, but I had Toyo tr1 on my old ek9 they wore quite grippy but i would only get a 40 -45 profile because the sidewall are a bit soft, if you go any larger the tyres flex under hard cornering, wobble if you know what i mean ( i wrote the 9 off with them on:angry:), on the second ek9 i came with bridgestone potenza not sure which one, i would say they are not as grippy as toyo tr1 but the steering response is much better, doesn't wobble at all, but the big thing that pissis me off is the road noise, it is immense inside the car.

I change the front tyres on the civ this weekend, i wanted hankock rs2 (heard good things about them) but i couldn't get them any where, so i went 2 see may mate who supplies tyres 2 a lot of he local rally driver, and he put 2 new Toyo R888 on it, i going 2 say one thing about these tyres they are f-ing awesome, the 9 is a completly different car:drive: the front sticks 2 the road like glue, no hint of under steers it just go round, i know they are not brilliant in the wet, but i have had a some of the groves extended 2 help channel the water out, and i have been told they should last around 6000 miles if you drive reasonable tidy. Im that impressed with them that im getting another 2 fitted 2 the back in a couple of weeks!

O yeah, might have some nearly new bridgestone potenza for sale in a couple of weeks!

My vote goes for Hankook RS2.

Yeah Hankook RS2, they are very similar to Semi slick. I use them on my daily drive Subaru.

i would say eagle f1's are far superior to parada 2's or toyo proxes.
not because of dry performances where all 3 are simaler but in the wet.
it rains most of the time in the uk so makes sense to go for the best wet handling tyre.
the parada's have a tread pattern designed for show rather than dispersing water and i found the proxes to be only a bit better.
in wet conditions they cant compare to eagle f1's and they get my vote.

not quite sure if u guise can get ur hands on tis tires; but in the aussie tis tires was voted best tires for the d1 competition. Federal 595 RSR n 595SS

the ones i m having is federal 595ss.

one of my frens have tested it with the 180sx; it sticks superbly in the dry. n its quite cheap.

for my size; its rm210 per piece x 4 = rm840 (thats around USD 265?)

Federal SS595 are a popular drift tyre for 2 reasons. Lack of grip and a rock hard side wall. Probably not a bad tyre for the summer but I'm not sure how they'd perform in the wet.

What about Dunlop SP Sport 9000? Eagle F1 tread pattern without the cheese sidewall.

i have yokohama s-drive and i am happy with them apart from the traction in wet.
Can i ask you something? I see that prices in England for tyres like toyo t1r or yokohama parada are ridiculously low, like 30pounds per tyre. Can you explain why this is so? Because prices for the same tyre to other countries are much higher which can reach up to double price!!
