Which short intake 2 get?

Alright people!

I know another which filter 2 get thread agen! :angry2:

I need some advice I want 2 get a short intake and i doant know which one 2 get? I know you would say to get a long intake but we had a stupid amount of rain in UK so its out of the question! and i know the mugen is best but i cant justify spending £300+ on a filter!

I want a J's or AEM short but just wondering how much better is the J's over AEM because it cost's almost twice as much and i doant think its twice as good? i just want your opinion? or can you recommend any others?
 
I would go with the J's Racing. If you do some more research i'm sure you can find dyno with various intakes...
If your referring to the AEM Col Air Intake system. I would definitely go with that one. I'm swithing mine from Password JDM Power Chamber (J's Replica) to an AEM CAI system...

Alright B16 mini i'v hav been debating 2 buy it!

jime64871 i herd good things about AEM Col Air but i worried about it sucking up water up that's the reason i want a short intake! i had that problem with my old car!
 
i have the aem cai and a velocity stack on the front end and i dont sap up much water.
unless you are driving in deep puddles, the engine should get hydrolock. and if your really cautious, i hear theres a bypass system aem supply.
 
we have the same problem here in the Pacific NorthWest. A bypass valve can solve that problem, which they sell as well...

I like the COMPTECH + Ice box :)

Its a 3.5" system throughout. Nice balance of velocity and volume.
 
That one reminds me of the ARC Induction Box as well....
They don't perform as good as a AEM CAI system.
 
Definatly go for the j's.... That looks like a very good copy i thinking of that one myself....
