Well folks, I just got a brand new Authentic JDM EK9 Shift boot for the EJ6. Now, I have an EJ1 (US 93-95 EX Coupe) shift knob now. It's wore out. It's 13 years old and has been used a lot. I got this nice new EK9 boot (smell that new leather) and I want a new knob to go with it. I want an EK9 knob but the only place I can find one sells them for $185 USD New. Too much for me. I may stick a crowbar in my wallet and get a used one for $75 though.

SO, I was looking at a Skunk2 Knob which actually looks really similar. I like it and it's a more reasonable $50. There's also a Blox Racing knob I kinda like for $50. Spoon knobs are $59 but I'm not sure if I like the look of them or not. Other choices include OEM US EJ6/7/8, OEM US DC2, OEM US Prelude knobs, and other OEM Honda knobs (eBay FTW!!!). Also there is a knob in my glove box that appears to be an S2000 knob. It looks alright but I think it's kinda ricey to have a 6-speed knob in a 5-speed car.

The others I guess you either know or can look up.

So which do ya'll think yould be best?

*IDEA: I may be able to sell the S2000 knob and get a DC2/EK9 Type R knob!

Skunk2, got one myself after some gypsy stole mine. That S2000 one is ugly eh

Yeah, I'm thinkin leaning towards the Skunk2 one. How are your thoughts on an OEM EK9/DC2 knob? Is the Skunk2 one heavier or something?

I think it is slightly heavier, its just as good as oem.

I like the skunk2 one :)

OK, it's settled. I'm going Skunk2 then. Guess I'll order it when I get my tax return or when I sell the S2K knob (or some EJ1 parts). Right now my money from work is going into my new whoop-ass computer I'm building. I'm so poor though, I can only order one piece at a time :p.

the blox looks hmmm crappy ? :nerv:

Actually I thought it looked pretty much the same. Blox I think is known a little more for other things. I always see people with Blox rear LCAs and such.

I like the finish on the Skunk2, the MF one looks to shiny for me.

Hmm I don't like BLOX :(

its got to be the original one for me ;) looks and feels tops...but out of your selection the skunk 2 one def looks the business ! :)

Its the JDM Accord Euro-R CL1 shift knob, nicely weighted at 5.3oz aluminum, with black lettering and a very slight bronze tint. Best of all its only $46. Look at the jdmland.com in the ek section.
I have 2 of these myself!

I'm still kinda partial to the Skunk2.

Do ya'll think I should buy from Weksos or buy directly from Skunk2. I'm kinda of thinkin of Accord knob but the Skunk2 weighs more.

*Nevermind, already ordered from Weksos.

They do ship internationally, you just have to prepay with an International Money Order or International Cashier's Check.
