Wheels finally fitted! - Desmonds


Thank you for all the comments guys. Was actually thinking of lowering it by another 1/2 inch...

Spec list:-

Engine;
-DC 4-1 mani
-Decat pipe
-Simota CAI with K&N Cone filter
- Spoon N1 Axelback

Gearbox;
Fidanza lightweight flywheel
MFactory gear set (3rd, 4th & 5th gear replaced)

Interior;
Spoon lowering seat rails
Sparco 4-point harness

Chassis;
Skunk2 coilovers

I must say that the rims have made a notable difference (improvement) in acceleration and an even better improvement in the handling (in the dry). Tyres are shite in the wet. I went for the yokos as the car is not a daily and is mainly not used in bad weather.
 
Look very nice in 16".

They actually made a positive difference in regards to handeling then? I thought 16" upset the balance?

No experience with 16" on EK9, just what I read on here.

Yep, I think its because of the increased surface area gripping the road due to the wider tyre. It could also be because the sidewall of the tyre is a tad stiffer than the ones I had previously (Toyo T1-R).

Regarding acceleration, I felt a notable difference in 1st gear - engine revs quicker, car grips more.

car and wheels look great!! i would have went with the 15s and a taller sidewall on the tires much better ride but your set up is still badass enjoy it :nice:
 
those rims are the "daddy" :), but dont think i can do white wheels again as
i cant stand when they get dirty after 3mins driving :nono:

just watch the bushings on the Blox LCA`s as they tend to crack after a while, just uprate them when they perish bud.

your car is very pleasing to the eye bud,keep it up :clap:

Those are the only rims I'd ever want on my dc2 (or Spoon)
