i just started to replace my back brake pads and can not remove the back wheel. i have taken the nuts of and the wheel seems to be seized on. has any one got any suggestions?

Hit the tyre with a lump of wood (from behind). Make sure someones there to catch the wheel just incase it drops off, all of a sudden.

Hey Bud.. I have had the same problem with my second car ( jeep ).. What to do is get a large rubber mallot or you can use your hands.. Cover the front of the wheel with a sheet to protect the paint.. Then start to bang the tyre around the edges on the inside. ( closest to car ).. Hit it from different points making sure you do opposites to keep it equal.. Keep giving it gentle persuation and it should come free !! :nice:

Cheers - Andy

Just for future reference leave the nuts on about 3 turns, stops the wheel falling on its face :nice:

clean and lightly copper grease the centre which the wheel sits on, should stop it getting stuck again.:)
