What sport do you do?

Oh and i would recommend glucosamine sulphate to anyone who has joint pains from sport or just in general. Took a few weeks to notice the tablets working but benching at gym is no longer painful for my elbows :)

yes very sililar except no body protection even helmets are optional ,not many people would walk out on to a pitch with a piece of wood and no protection and start passing and hitting around a piece of leather around the size of a tennis ball upto speeds of 80 /90 mph.brillant sport though

Im all about the leg press - 160kg ten reps...Thought my legs were gonna snap but i joined the gym a few weeks ago, went thrice and quit

What's your current/all time best bench weight man?

Currently I press 100kg free weight on flat bench. So two twenties either side. (80kg weight and I weighed the bar at just over 20kg lol)

My best is 120kg but my heads not in it properly at the minute going through a bad patch, you will know what I mean.

How about yourself mate? Bench weight is good all round gauge on strength my training partner benches 160kg-180kg but he is a monster.

Lol my brother in law pays £40 a month and goes like 6 times a year :)

You have to go past the point of no return with gym, when your strength builds and you see a difference, the disease i call gym will take over lol

anyone here ever use acai force or any of there stuff ??
thinking of joining a gym to bulk up but will need supplements.

i'm just back up to 100kg on the bench after tearing my shoulder apart in a bike crash, trying to get my deadlifts up to a decent level but my grip is letting me down,

as for sports i do downhill mountain biking during the summer and switch to weights and cross country biking/running in the winter to keep my fitness up

There is so many brands and supplements out there mate, trial and error. I have just bought a 5kg bag of volumizer blah blah blah lol. Just bought it and as of now its extremely thick like pudding and has a hint of cardboard taste to it lol but its been highly recommended. Will get the full name and pm you its got everything in it. But like jokeshopbeard said its really each to their own.

Glad to hear your on the road to recovery, grip is always an issue with training especially dead lifts. You not tried straps?

Know exactly what you mean. Tore a muscle in my back about 3 weeks ago during one of those patches - all it takes is for that lapse in focus. Couldn't wait to get back into it but then had a monster tattoo session on my back which is still healing and going to india next week, so gonna be 1.5-2 month break in total. Man, I am not looking forward to the strength drop from this time off!!

Completely agree on the bench being the best guage of overall strength, always ask if I get chatting to someone who lifts - got chatting to a massive (and I mean ridiculous) bloke smoking outside a club one night, his best was 240!

My all time best was 3 reps at 125 (not bad for my size, I aint exactly a big guy!), but likewise, I was at my absolute peak then (and also had a training parter - unfortuantely I work shifts now so can't - man I miss having a spot on every set!!). Been quite a few ups and downs since. Same as you, was just hitting 100 again before my injury.

He speaks the truth!! Seriously, once you start noticing the gains, it does become an addiction. Love the feeling when everything just starts feeling lighter due to your newfound strength!!

Straps would be a very good idea here, as it negates the need for a perfect grip.

Also, do you use a one hand under, one hand over grip when deadlifting? Feels a bit odd at first but far superior to a both hands over grip.

Mate, please don't fall into that trap. You don't need any supplements at all to gain size. Suppliements are just that, a supplement to food, and are inferior to real food in many ways. They should only ever be used for conveniance; i.e where you haven't the time to consume real food.

The only supplement I use is a pure protien powder straight after a workout, and that is simply because I cannot eat quickly enough to replenish the stores that I have just burned (you have about 15 minutes after a workout to effectively replenish these stores before your body will start cannibalizing itself for the nutrients it requires) and also because a liquid is absorbed faster by the gut than a solid.

Please have a read of the book I attached to my previous post, it explains this in good detail and is not so dry and scientific as to be uncomprehensible.

I would seriously advise you to steer clear of all this 'weight gain' powder rubbish though. Just get yourself a good diet plan. I'm not saying its easy preparing and carrying round 6 meals a day with you, but then nothing good ever came easy....

Ya the fastest field sport in the world i believe.

The GAA does annoy me for the reason that i think the sports are a waste of our countries talent. I know the sports well but just can't support them for that reason. For example in we had all the GAA players playing rugby we would be just as good as the All Blacks or maybe even one of the worlds top soccer teams. There natural athletes and there playing an amateur sport. The poor guys don't even get paid for doing it. Expenses is all they get for all there training and hard work.

Ask anyone who works in maintenance...you never do anything

there is a downside...I spend a ****ing fortune

i always thought you worked with big angry machines lol

oh and on the drugs thing. they get a thumbs doon from me too. i spent a year or so of my life trying lots of different drugs but i have a very addictive personality, i never half ass anything, so it was a pure bad slope. eventually stopped after getting to the point where i was taking ***** 2-3 times a week and more and more at a time as i was building up a tolerance.

i havnt done anything in over a year and a half now since i had the worst experiance of my life thanks to them last year at titp. a few of the boys i was friends with at the time still hit them hard and its scary to see what its done to them :/

on topic, i do absolutely no sports atm, no time at all, but i used to do something called MA tricking. hard to explain, so iv got one of my old videos lol
