Going getting new rims for the DC2 from Japan, 15" or 16" wheels.. Ive seen 16x8 +30 offset but i was told ill need to roll the arches and stretch the tyres..

Im looking for wheels to fit the car without any hassle, what offset do i need? I dont want the wheels buried under the arches, id like them out by the arches but not too far where ill have to roll the arches or stretch the tyres

A 7J rim with an offset of at +35 is the maximum you could use I'd say without rolling the arches and a 205 tyre at most with those specs. Diameter isn't an issue within reason it's width and offset are the concern,

15x7 et35 is the best spec for looks, practically and good tyre prices/choices IMO.

Cheers kipper, ive my eyes on two sets of wheels, planning on picking up both sets soon, one set is 16x7 + mid offset Volks TE37's, the other set is Advan RG1's 15x7 & 7.5 +31..

Would these be ok on the DC2? Id be running no bigger then a 205 tyre on all rims :thanks:

The RG1's would more than likely fowl the rear arches with stock camber arms unless maybe you ran a stock ride height, very stiff suspension and too much camber. The volks should be fine upto +35 any lower I'd say they will fowl.

My MF10's are 16x7 ET43 and fill the arches nicely without rubbing.

I think you will get away with 15*7 +35 just about. I use 195/50/15 on a 15*7 et30 front and that scuffed a little so front you should be ok with.

Rears im running 15*6.5+30 rear and had to roll my arches using a 195/50/15 tyres so you might be pushing you luck on the rear, if the DC2 is anything like the EK.

have a play at Online Wheel and Tyre Fitment Calculator. Offset, Tyre Stretch and Speedo Error | Will They Fit compared to your current specs and try to work out what space you have left as fitment can very much depend on camber and ride height aswell.

I have 7" +35 te37
Front is perfect
rears i had to get rear camber kit to stop it rubbing on arches

Recently put a set of Work emotion on in 16x7 et35 and they sit perfect with no rubbing.

Really wanted an offset around et40-45 but these seem to sit well.

sound lads, have ordered a set of 15x6.5 +45 sprint hart cp035's, they should sit nicely under the dc2, if im not happy with them i can run a 10mm spracer to bring them out more
