Hi everyone, im selling my ek9 now which im really gutted that i have to do because i have changed my career recently which involves alot of traveling also i have a little boy in the family now so i need something a bit bigger and cheaper to run as well. Im just wondering what price would be fair to sell my car

Honda : HONDA CIVIC TYPE R JDM EK9

Thank You

saw this was up on ebay yesterday did it make its reserve .

I've just looked at the others and i would put it up for £6,000 and take 5,900 lowest

5,500 is a fair price. Though from what I've been reading even the cheap ones aren't being sold.

Depends on its Modifications/Condiotion/mileage/owners IMO

I wouldnt let mine go for less than £7500 really, but what someone would pay for it is a different story

I think Dunsy hit the nail on the head. Its only worth what someone will pay for it. There are so many variants on what can help etc. Amount of mods, what kind of mods, receipts etc. If I was you, I would try and make it as stock as possible and see where you go from there, you could then maybe make up some of the money by selling the trick bits seperately. This depends on how much of a rush you are in to get the money etc. Everyone seems to agree that these cars are worth more being broke up then selling them as a whole.

Good luck with the sale though. I would love to swap my motorbike and cash for an EK9, I wouldnt sell the Jordan to fund one though.

how much can you get breaking an ek9, seriously thinking about breaking mine

Oh hi Ben, didnt realise it was you, still havent seen the car yet, we had a small meet up in dudno the other week. Looks like I wont be seeing your motor now. Hope it goes well though for you. If you decide not to sell, which I think you should do ;o) then we will have to get some lads together.

Im not sure Mark, but Im sure thats what I read on here, its the impression I get from reading the forum, as so many people seem to break them. Its also down to whether you want the hassle of taking the thing apart, getting potentially messed about by people wanting but not always delivering on the money, and whether you want bits of a car lying all over the place.

I think its a shame to break a car if there is nothing wrong with it, but if its broken, then its better other people can benefit from the car parts. Im sure someone will be able to shed a bit more light on your question.

Ben

Depends what parts you have

If i was to break mine and everything sold (which it may not) then i would get about £11000 for everything. ALOT more than anyone would pay for the car

Fair to you or fair to the buyer.

Im of the opinion these cars are wayyyy overpirced, otherwise I would have bought one long long ago, so personally I wouldnt pay a penny over £3500 as I fell this is a fair reflectuion of what they are WORTH, not what sellers are pricing them as.

Oh wait, didnt I buy a cheap to run sohc civic in anticipation of the price of 9's coming down this year :angry2:

So, Id say no, its nto a fair price.

But il offer you £3000

Lol
EK9's are atleast worth 4,500 for the bad ones so i wish you luck mate:))

I personally hope they go up in price so folk like you never get one . offering 3k is just plain rude . mate hold out for £5500 its what Id pay for it .It`ll just be a matter of time before someone takes it .I had my starley for about 2 months before someone bought it but I got what i was happy with :nice:

Hey there mate , is the car still for sale ?

Any idea on a price seen the car both on pistonheads and ebay . looks sweet :)

Dont take anything less than 5,500 for it its the owners who sell them's responsibility to keep them out of the hands of chavs and people who dont understand how special they are i personally hope the never come below 5,500 for pre facelift and below 6,500 for a facelift they are brilliant cars and are definetly worth that kind of money.
