New ek9.ORG stickers installed last nite,thanks to Gav for supplying:drive:



New arch lip guards which i got specially to protect my arches from corrosion and chips :):)





New Motul sticker replaceing a mugen one i had thanks to Derek at simauto :)



Forgive the interior i havnt got round to steam cleaning yet :((
plus side my Girlfriend Michelle got me the mats for x,mas :)



Like the day she like the factory in japan 99

i was told them arch lip guards are bad, dirt and water get in and under it and rot your arches!
 
x2 took them off my vti because they ruined the the passangers side arch. dirt and salt gets stuck inbetween the arch and the mould and eats the crap out of it! :nerv: All i do now is give them a good wash round when i'm cleaning the car and put a layer of wax on them. keeps them minty fresh! Still loving the vsm ek9, sooooo clean! :nice:
 
car looking great as per normal bud.

well the arch protectors are a "catch 22" situation,yes crap can get stuck up inside them etc but you can take them off and protect the lip and put the protectors back on (which i think you did).

or leave them off and poss get stonechips which can also lead to rust!
 
thanks for kind comments and advice all,kinda doing a trial with arch rim guards,
have arches waxed and greased sealed with guards on,
short term probaly
see how they far out tho and il leave feedback

missing a dot after the www must of came off with the masking tape and you never noticed :p

i know you are a perfectionist if you want another one i'll send it out, although think you have a spare :D

They can be bad and good. They will prevent the paint getting damaged around the arch. All the stone chips can do a bit of damage and encourage rust. So they can be useful. As long as you take them off every so often and make sure there isn't too much grit getting in then they will work well. Clear waxoyl also works a treat to keep the arches in great nick :nice:

ha yeah no worries will send you out another one, just need to be carefull when removing the masking tape that the full logo comes off including the dots :D once applied to the car though they last a long time the vinyl is very good ;) get that posted tomorrow for you mate :nice:
 
I don`t like silver Civics HB, but this EK9 is realy great.

Excelent sense for detail :nice:

...except exhaust..maybe to low and too long on the end...

i have OEM back box for car!
car now fully serviced by myself
just picked up fuchs 75/90 gearoil gallon 5 litres y'day
will use 2.2litres in next day or 2
want to keep my gearbox like new
