v-tec abusers turboed B18 'first page updated'


just a little update:
while doing my drive shafts the other week i noticed my lower ball joint were split, so i decided to get some new ones, fairly easy to change as well.

well it seems ive done my drive shaft on the near side yet again. so i guess its bk into the garage to do those, and possibly one or two different things!!!!! just see what monies are available first.
 
Car looks so good in that colour, makes a real nice change from champ white even tho it also works well
 
so, drive shafts are brought and fitted. ive brought MFactory, rated at 450bhp. while it was off the road ive brought a harness for the passangers side and stripped the rear of all plastic an a mate of mine painted the rear white. it looks class now, i'll get some pictures up as and when i can.
 
Looks cool! What do you make of the Buddyclub Race Spec coilovers? Have been offered a set but as I use my car as a daily I'm not sure if they would be a bit much?

well i kinda use mine daily, its not just a track car anyway, the race spec's are pretty hard depends what you like/want i guess, i dont mind them and im in the back end of Norfolk lol.

Cool. I might go for the coilovers. Could do with something a bit stiffer than the Bilstein shocks and springs I have now. Painted interior looks very good! Has that been done with a spray gun or just rattle cans? Looking to spray the back half of my interior

I think the white contrasts against the grey well, also makes the inside a lot brighter as it was matt black.
Just remember they are race dampers, so they will be a bit harder than what you have.
 
does the gt28 hold power in the higher rpms? a surprising choice for a turbo honda on track, any torque spike issues when part throttle or on corner exit?
 
Yeah it seems to, ive done a few high end runs with not to much bother.
I dont have any issues with torque spike or anything, for me its a brilliant all round set up, and its great for the circuits i use.

Thought so,looks too good to be a rattle can job! Yeah the white and grey works well together. I was thinking of spraying mine black the same as my car as I plan to cage it in the future,the cage being coloured :) Not sure how good a rattle can job would be though.

Yeah that's understandable. The Bilstein shocks and springs are the O.E spec kit they do from what I have researched so looking for something a bit firmer.
