Standard EK9 BHP??

Should the torque be around 120 with a few mods, ie mugen twin loop, or intake? Ive a few mods planned.. ill post my next result next month...

yea you should get bit more with decent exhaust and intake(if you aint going mugen etc stick with stock airbox as it rocks!)
stick to the one set of rollers and you should see gains thou dont take figures as gospel,a nice smooth powercurve is a better point to look at:)

my ek4 made 185bhp and 122.9 torque but the torque is due to oversize
ek9 pistons,dc2 cams etc etc :secret:

keep up the quality mods :)

I dont think this is true...i may be wrong but im sure the Sir and Vti are both the same, they have the same B16A2 and same ECU
vti uses a b16A2
sir uses a b16A or what some poeple call a A1

they both run at 160 and 170 ps respectively which equates to 158 and 168
I dont want to cause any arguments but I have read on many sites that the standard EK9 puts out;

185PS which converts to 182 BHP. Minor difference but its the accurate power output!

Josh..

was just about to say:D

something seriously wrong with that torque curve, in fact its not even a curve at all.

tourque and HP dont cross at 5252 rpm that dyno sheet is not worth the paper its printed on

hp and tq cross three times

Agreed the tq graph is beyond "a bit off" and may be more a measure of the current economic situation but the hp graph looks spot on, anyone is welcome to dig up some of my older posts, i always did say a standard ek9 should make around ~155 at the wheels.

is there any chance there is a issue with my car?? I tend not to read into figures, but i might just try another dyno somewere else soon..

just checked my two sheets same as yours , triple cross over points on mine too . Going to post on rms ( local car forum ) . To see what they say . As they have a section on it .

the day i done my second print out was a charity day there was no mad readings . Everything seemed on the money all the clios were within 5 bhp of each other in different states of tune only exhausts de-cats filter etc . So would not say they pluck them out of thin air . More curious why there are 3 crossover points .

i e-mailed ai autosport , the reason they cross over three times is because of different scaling on the bhp and torque .

BHP & Torque (lbs/ft) should have the same numerical value @ 5252rpm...

From your graph its ~83BHP/83lbs/ft @ 5252rpm

The torque "curve" has been plotted on a very small scale hence why it rises & dips a lot....Normally it is plotted on the same scale as BHP hence why the torque curve is much flatter & crosses BHP once at 5252rpm

~150 at the wheels sounds like a good healthy figure for sure:nice:
