does anyone run staggered wheels? i mean (for example) 15" front and 16" rear? just curious what it would look like and handle?

if anything you run them the other way round, bigger wheels front than rear on a FWD

aids traction on high torque motors and can allow fitting of larger brakes/allow more cooling space for them also, only consider it for serious circuit use

mate runs 16 front / 15 rear on his high comp B20 integra to great effect!

i was thinking more for looks, to make it look a bit mean? dunno if it would work though

whats a good size to go for then? 15" or 16"? any bigger doesnt look right to me. is there any functional differences between the two sizes?

Honda are actually running larger front rims on there HSV supercar aswell so its not just FWD that can see the benefits.

my ek9 came in from japan with sw388s....16" on the back and 15" on the front! bit of a pain gettin tires as i can get a deal on 4 tires but supposed to be good for the track

the top fuel turbo ek9 runs 17's on front to clear the big brembos and 15's on rear.

Top fuel is a famous factory of drag racing and vtec turbo they r also good at time attack machine , it's hard to hit around 1:00 for a FWD , but they did it

engine : B16B (extend to 1800cc)
turbine : BLITZ K3T
cam : in 280 ex 280
compression ratio : 8.5:1
Injectors : 550cc x4
ECU : apexi safc
final ratio : 4.8
suspension : Mugen APEX N1 F.28k R.18K
tyre : yokohama A048 F.245/40/17 R.215/50/16

i was thinking about 15*8 front with the 15*7 rear to help counteract understeer

why not just run a little less air pressure on the front tires? Makes a big difference, also your camber settings. But if you want to go staggarred its ur choice.

Or maybe just a subtle different of running different tyres sizes....

for example.... front 215/40/16 rear 195/45/16 ? just an idea. cheap alternative..

Sorry for pirating your thread but almost same topic

Anybody running staggered width on wheels? Like 7-8" front and 6-7" back..
Any gains in grip/handling? Any losses more than weight?

Its meant to counter act understeer.... I have a staggered setup waiting to go on.
