if anything you run them the other way round, bigger wheels front than rear on a FWD
aids traction on high torque motors and can allow fitting of larger brakes/allow more cooling space for them also, only consider it for serious circuit use
mate runs 16 front / 15 rear on his high comp B20 integra to great effect!
my ek9 came in from japan with sw388s....16" on the back and 15" on the front! bit of a pain gettin tires as i can get a deal on 4 tires but supposed to be good for the track
Top fuel is a famous factory of drag racing and vtec turbo they r also good at time attack machine , it's hard to hit around 1:00 for a FWD , but they did it

why not just run a little less air pressure on the front tires? Makes a big difference, also your camber settings. But if you want to go staggarred its ur choice.
