Alright so about a few days a go I took my car up to the mountains to hang out with some friends. It started to rain so we decided to head back to town. On the drive down I noticed a squeaking sound coming from the back of the car. At first I thought, "hey, something might just be caught back there." So when I got home, I checked the back tires, and nothing was there. So it's been 4 days now and my car is still making that intolerable noise. It makes the noise whenever I drive. It's really wierd because every now and then, it'll go away. If anyone can help, that'd be great.

Thanks

p.s. if this isn't in the right forum topic, feel free to move it.

my car had this problem but 4. it was the dust cover rubbing the rotor. i just pried it away from the rotor

stocks can still squeak, its a 10 year old car ;) especiallily if the rubber isolater is worn out.

true, I forgot how old my car is.... hahaha. I guess I should just upgrade me suspension if that's the problem.

aftermarket suspension could squeak too, but TEIN sells a spring isolator which is just a small piece of rubber that stops the noise, most aftermarket suspension comes with it but not all.

i guess this can be done by Heat..!

Heat? Damn.... If it is the heat, I'll have to deal with it every summer with these 120 degree days..... It's just a really annoying sound to hear when driving. I still haven't had the time to look for the problem. Thanks for all the instiful info everyone.

The rear pads have a squeak warning thing to tell you they are getting low.

Dunx

seriously? wow I didn't know that. Fudge, my old car (98 ford contour... r.i.p.) didn't do that. Wow, insitful stuff.

**** i mean its just a cover its real thin metal. rocks, and other stuff on the road can ause them to bend

Hey, when I got my ek9 it started makin a squeakin noise that sounded like it was comin from the back left-side shock set-up. When I jacked it up, took off the back left-side tyre and pushed the rotor up and down I heard the squeak. After listening for where the sound was comin from, I removed the rubber boot covering the shock piston and grease it good........then the sqeakin stopped!

hope this could help....
