Spoon Calipers

Not meaning to spam this thread at ALL with links ect, however with those calipers being $1504, + God knows import tax if he needs to pay any - He might aswell get from Touge Distribution which is on this site (possible Reduction?). I'm planning to buy these along with some project Mu discs and pads in a couple of months.

Here's the link.

Plus we're running 5% off all Spoon products this week, use spoonoffer at the checkout :)

Never once heard of problems with the Spoon Calipers apart from the slight rattle from the brake pads because of they way they sit.

How does it work with ordering from Touge? The carriage is £45, which is a lot, so does that mean that they come from abroad? If so, we will have to pay import duty, and VAT on top of the price (which you also pay on the carriage). Marking as a 'gift' wont work on items with these values on them either.

Ends up being expensive if this is the case. I had a look at the website and it seems that no matter what you order you pay £45 for delivery.

the price is in yen, so I think you have to pay shipping+import duty...

We export our items from Japan, and they go anywhere in the world. Shipping isn't £45 for everything, where have you seen this chap? Although you would be surprised how much it costs to ship items to the UK, to get here in a few days.

If you import anything from outside the EU, from anyone, you are subject to paying import taxes. This isn't controlled by Touge. This is down to HMRC.

The prices are still cheaper than UK RRP, even with adding a potential customs charge, which doesn't always happen. We don't mark items as "gifts" or mark the items value down, because this is illegal.

If you do see items cheaper within the UK, please let me know and we'll see what we can do to beat it. :D

I hope this has cleared up your concerns.

James@Touge.

ok, but if you put real value (that is correct) and spoon calipers are around 1100 pounds, import duties are like 220 pounds...so it's not soo cheap!

but is also normal because these are jap items...
