Sorry I have to ask what would you build!

i think ragingangel is saying the toda header is similar to the vibrant that it wont make more than 210whp.

ragingangel i know what your saying about the vibrant but i still think with a 3" collector it will be the best option that fits in the budget unless he can sell it and get something like a rage bigtube instead which is very similar to the vibrant in design only larger and slightly longer. dont tuned headers start at like $1200? its a shame he cant run side exit, the ANR side exit is very nice and reasonably priced...

and i can find out about adding crower maxilight rods instead of eagle to the build, per my calculations it will add $400 to the total cost of the shortblock. but then i get to thinking if your gonna spend that much for rods why not just get some Howard aluminum rods, there about the same price, RagingAngel what do you think about aluminum rods in regards to reliability etc...?

The times I ran were two completely different cars.

The one pictured in the video was stripped. Just a hair under 2250lbs, rather light for a DC2 which is already known to be heavier in stock form than a 6th gen hatch.

All the times run with the dyno graph shown is with I/H/E and I'm not sure why the stupid chart shows stock intake and injectors either.

That crap was tossed in favor of a 3.0in shortram and 440ccs. I stand by what I said about the power potential lost based on the two vital components we didn't have.

Blinx, the options for the ported head and tuned header is listed in my previous post... so yes you are right about the pricing.

I have no opinion on aluminum rods since we have no experience with them, but it leads me to believe that if I haven't heard much of them, it's probably because there are those who are unwilling to try or who have tried them and found them brilliantly successful that they kept quiet.

or who have tried them and found them brilliantly successful that they kept quiet.

:secret:we built 2 motors with them :secret:

not cheap but were experimenting with them right now, 1 will be a daily driver, 1 will be a 1500whp drag car subjected to 55psi!!!!, neither are Honda's though.

today i recieved a response from a very reputable engine builder, its a bit cheaper than GE and uses lighter rods:

"Hello. If you drop off a block, I will probably have it done within 10 days or so. I recommend he goes with 85.5 MM bore, 13.6:1 compression, with ultralight rods, balanced, polished crank, of course the block is fully blueprinted, using our M1 sleeves. All Honda bearings only. Top quality machine work. It’s a diamond bore, cork brush hone, which is how they do it in NASCAR or any other pro racing organization, it’s the best money can buy.

The price would be:

$2850 which includes:
Wiseco pistons, coated skirts
Forged I beam rods 2 piece forging.
Balanced/polished crank
Diamond Bore/cork brush Hone
M1 Abrams sleeves installed
All Honda bearings, new thrusts, new rear main seal
Blueprinted
Assembled, wrapped up.

Shipping to Bosnia I will need his address, its probably about $650 dollars at least for the block.

We can do that, and we do that all the time to Europe and Russia areas."

Thanks Blinx.

I hope 13.6 will give effect to those pro2 cams. :nice::nice:
