Sorry I have to ask what would you build!

i've been speaking with Golden Eagle MFG here in the states to see how much they would charge you to build a you a 2.0 thats fully assembled and balanced... should have an answer soon...

Ok, GE said if you send them your block they will fit it with an 89mm crank, sleeve it to 84.5mm, supply forged rods forged and pistons with your choice of compression, new bearings, and all assembled and fully balanced for you for about $3000usd.

that pretty much takes care of the shortblock :nice: also with this shortblock you would be good for 40psi of boost if you just change to lower compression pistons.

a guy in Malta turbo'd a b18c at 1.5bar boost and did 10.8 1/4th mileand he was on quite a restricted budget

Thanks Blinx9900 !!! I could never do the proper balancing here! I will thing about it.

it all comes down to traction and launch, i say get the suspension situated first with the rear spring/shock combo, get traction bars, drag radials and see what it does. also do you have LSD?

I have LSD, MFactory final drive. Suspension is quite new.
Drag radials will buy definitely.

But you hit me with those stroker kit, and when I calculate it is more better and cheaper to buy block in USA, have it shipped to machine shop, and after they finish I arrange pick up?

Will any other block will fit?

It's going to have to be one hell of a car to stay NA and hit 11 secs...

Be awesome to see though :)

you mean you think its cheaper to just buy a block in US and have it shipped to GE instead of shipping your block? that might be true, shipping does get expensive, if this is what you want to do i have my b16b block that is for sale locally for $400, if you buy it off me i can ship it to GE for you and you can arrange the build with GE and then GE would ship the fully built/assembled shortblock back to you.

this way you still end up with a b16b block!! unless you want to just use an LS block but then you have to do an lsvtec conversion, or a b18c block but those are expensive :(

If it is in good condition, then that is what we going to do 95%. I have to wait till friday to present this idea, but 95% i think he will agree. :nice::nice::nice::nice::nice::nice::nice::nice::nice::nice::nice::nice::nice::nice::nice::nice:

:thanks::thanks::thanks:

the block is in good shape, the shape does not really matter though as they are going to rebuild the block with all different parts, the only thing that needs to be good is the block casting and the main caps/girdle :nice:

you know whats nice about building a high compression NA motor like this? if you want to go even faster you can always add some nitrous :nerv: high compression motors work pretty well with nitrous.

s2 cams retainers and springs

skunk2 stage2? If i have time tomorrow I'm going to try and contact Endyn to see what they say, there cams are awesom and a bit cheaper than skunk2 as well, i seen his cams make 318bhp on 91 octane!!

sorry to butt in , but if u stroke a 16b to 1.8 what would be the rod ratio?
and if u ran high cams that require high revs would the std sleeve hold?

another question.... anyone know what was lisa kubo's setup?

rs will be 1.58 which is actually the same rs as a stock b18c the reliability would also be the same as a b18c. the sleeves would be fine.

lisa kubo has had a lot of different setup's, almost nobody knows what they were, the only one i recall was the 2.0 b16a but i have no idea what she did to make it a 2.0 back in the day when she did it stroker kits were not available. NOW START YOUR OWN THREAD IF YOU HAVE ANYMORE QUESTIONS

Skunk2 stage2 pretty high lift, with 12.4 cr think would be fine. I got them from Stephen with some other thing very reasonable price.

We have 100 octane fuel, if it is not Liqui Moly as our sponsor gives us great additives (alcohol based) that makes fuel pretty stable! They even have some kind of oxidant additive, nitrous based.

What do you think will be the rev limit?

9000rpm should be fine :nice:

you will need all the help you can get to reach 11sec with 1600cc engine, you need to double the power of your B16B to get anywhere near 11secs, can be done with NOS but NA? squeeze every penny out of your sponsor. LOL
