S2k cluster in EK

I saw this in a couple of civic Coupes and Hatchbacks last year at the Hot Import Nights and I think it looked really nice. I thought of doing it myself but when I heard that you have to re-wire just about all the wires, then I said, forget it!

I saw a couple of S2K clusters a while back on Ebay and they were going for about, $150 and up.

was that with all the gear to do the swap aswell !

You'll buy a cluster for cheap enough

But you can no longer buy the spreedo converter, DS Customs are no longer in bussiness.

Sorry to piss on anyones bonfire

we buy lots of things that dont make it faster... for example why do we refurb wheels... its to look good.. and this cluster is brilliant looking i think

whats the point??? it doesn't make car faster...

That's a bit of a dumb comment. I mean, of all the mods you see on this forum, in fact in the whole scene in general, are they only ever to go faster?

Of course not. We all like different things and we all like to be individual, I suspect that's why many of us are into this game. For the passion of it.

Why do some spend hours cleaning and polishing (yourself included)? Does it make it 'go faster'?

I can't speak for you, but I know that for me, so much pleasure comes from putting in the cash and the graft and then standing back and admiring my handywork. Hence wire tucking, cluster conversions, engine bay dress up, etc, etc.

Try and remember that not everyone just wants to make their car go faster, else we wouldn't give a f*ck what our cars look like. I think when you get to this 'enthusiast' level, it's about the complete package, having something that is taken care of properly, and looks as well as it goes.

Think the car is quick enough with a k20 with a nice few mods to the engine :D

If you already have a K20, the swap if relitivly easy.

You wont need a speedo converter as the k20 vss is already digital. All you need is an ECT converter from modifry and a soldering iron, and obviously and s2k cluster with pigtails :)

As for pics. One of the cleanist swaps i've seen done in an EK,
