Hi guys just sold my rx7 for a depressing 4.2k

But now its time to go back to honda :nice: i was looking into another EK9 as i loved my first one but i been recently lookin at a few S2000 and found a peach for the price.. And now im stuck between 2 minds :(

Anyone have any previous exp. in owning a s2000?

What do you guys think from a non biased side even tho this is EK9.org ;)

Cheers!

Alot of people will probes tell you s2000 they are nice fast cars mate and if you find a 'peach' at that price mate go for it you have experienced the ek9 go for something new if to get fed of of it sell it and ou will have the money fir the 9 lol

Its two very different cars to compare with.

I'm defo not a convertable guy, dont mind 2 seaters but S2000's just dont appeal to me, if one drove passed me in the street i'd probably have to take a second look incase i thought it was an MX5 (just a joke).

EK9 would be my choice by far

atm im looking to get a MX5 tbh so i would say S2000 just because in the summer when its warm, which i know isnt very often it would be the ideal car.
this is coming from a ej9 owner tho not an ek9 and ive neva driven one

Im not too big on convertables either but id be straight on the case with a hardtop which makes them look awesome!

How do they compare to the DC5s? My brother has one always bangin on about them being the best Type Rs honda ever made :blabla: wouldnt mind blowin that off down the straight!

When I was 18 I bought my first Honda, a DC2. I loved the car more than any other car I have ever owned. A few months after I had turned 24 I bought a used 2001 S2K. The S2K was a a fun car and awesome at the track, but I began to hate using it as a daily driver. It was cramped (I'm 6 ft.), the insurance was raping me, it f'd up my back over the smallest bumps, and I didn't really care for the power band being at such high rpm's. But, it did get me some sweet sweet ass! :win:

B18'd EK9 would give it a good run for its money !

S2000's are quick right enough but not as a drag car - think you would struggle to beat a DC5 at the 1/4

i find the s2k a bit cramped but then i'm a big chap! in saying that though they're a nice wee car to drive although can be a bit twitchy sometimes which is rather disconcerting! I'd get a 9 over a s2k as it looks better imo!

Come on man. The 9 looks good, but the S2000 kills it in the looks category.

Am not a fan to 2 seater rag tops , but i love S2000 speacially the hard tops .

Most likely my next car at the moment !!

Nah EK9 gets my vote on looks! Even though S2000 is nice looking car the older ones are very MX5'y

EK9's are a lot more aggressive looking and less hairdresser ha (no offence S2k lovers)

my b18c jordan is faster than an s2k with exhaust and intake from 20-120. s2000 would probably pass after that but our drag strip isnt long enough aha.

how good a driver are you? an amazing driver in an s2k is gonna smoke an average driver in an ek9.

ek9 much easier to drive on the limit but s2k on the limit will be so fast

bit of a biased forum to ask on?

wonder what the response would be on s2k owners...

OP- what age are you?

S2000 also looks more expensive(cos it is too) and less boy racerish
