Cheers guys. Was right down to the wire getting it ready. Was great everyone made it.
 
Had some problems with the engine not turning after it was fitted, here's the pics of what was causing it



the lower mark on the cover was catching this...



the engineering guys at my work said it looks like a runner or riser from when the bell housing was cast. this makes me feel better about chopping most of it off. I'm using a CC flywheel and RPC stage 4 clutch and tbh when I was turning the engine I was being probably overly gentle and could of forced it past but I wouldn't of been able to sleep not knowing what it was.

So cylinder one gave up completely. I'd been having cooling issues and should of been pro active and got the head off and found the problem before I totally destroyed the engine. Took a few days and a lot of beers to decide what to do next. Break it up for parts was suggested, rebuild, build another engine, k swap, J swap was even suggested after lots of beers. Ultimately I've decided I am going to build another engine and stick with boosted B. Main reason being... a turbo ek9 is cooler than penguin piss. End of. I don't care what anyone says or has... boosted B in a 9 body = winning at life. I built this car as I was having a truly sh*t time of things and I needed something to focus on and a goal to work towards. Everything was going to plan so, devastated is the only way to describe how I felt when the head was lifted off the engine. Back to square one. So after discussions with friends and @Vtec6000 , a plan was formed. Go big or go home is the theme with this now so without giving too much away it's gonna be pretty f*cking serious. Some of the conversations with Aonghus on whatsapp are on my instagram @civic_disobedience they crack me up so wanted to share them. Anyway, hopefully it will be back up and running for the end of October ish. My mate is currently importing a 9 through @type-r-dunk and it is due to arrive in early November. We have a bet about who will be driving their 9 first... We will see... Keep an eye out for updates over the coming weeks. Did someone say Darton ;)

This is good to read bud. Although its shitty luck you'll end up with a better engine in the long run.
Definitely worth the wait/work, now mine works half decent I can't stop driving it about lol

I honestly can't wait bud driving a mk3 mondeo diesel with a turbo that doesn't work. I'm smoking everybody but not the way I'd like to be lol.
 
this has been a great morning read, in between work haha, wasn't expecting the ending though dude. Man that sucks, can't wait to see what you've got planned though.

i searched high and low for a 3rd gen civic about 8 months ago and gave up about 2 months ago after finding nothing.. That little thing is a beauty, if you ever think about selling it, i'm going to my bank manager and taking out a loan and buying from you :)

cheers man. The 3g came out totally out the blue. its solid, no rot at all. Got the car and b16a with full conversion stuff hubs, shafts, ecu, int/ext loom, brand new hasportmounts etc for a grand! Got lucky I guess. It's only half mine though so selling it would require me and my mate to agree to it at the same time. Can't see it leaving us lol. I do know of another though....
 
a grand..... £1000 ?!?!? Are you kidding me ?!? seriously that's insane !! I can't actually believe that haha.

Did it come with those wheels also, it looks to be sitting lower than normal also.. what's the current engine it has in there ? 1.5 Carb ?

do you have a link to the other one at all ? :)
