robthedoc's ek9 turbo, adventures in boost!

Same boat mate. I can't help myself... been the same since I was about 15 years old. Personally I blame max power magazine.

Ok so after breaking the car's heart and my own in the process I've been doing a lot of thinking (drinking). I was always going to build it again but I was absolutely sick of the site of it and the inside of the garage after the hours and hours of blood sweat and tears that went into building it and getting it to Rockingham for Japfest2. Depressing stuff. Like soul destroying! I built this to get through a difficult time and it had went the same way as everything else this year :angry2:. If I didn't have bad luck I wouldn't have any. Anyway an opportunity came up to buy something I had always wanted for it... A Seeker V2! Thanks @LoganK :nice: After getting this I started to get a bit more motivated to get back to the garage and start putting the 9 back together. In the next week or two the engine will be coming back out the car... Hopefully for the last time. And hopefully around the end of November a new engine will be arriving from across the pond from mazworks racing engines... This is new territory for me. I have never modified anything to this level and I've been doing it all my adult life. I can't actually wait to see this built now. Keep an eye out for updates over the next few weeks as it should all start coming together soon. No more beer...

Couple bad pics of the seeker...

It will be off to get painted very soon

So jealous of that spoiler! <3
Cant wait for this now, gunna be a hell of a build with an engine coming from the US! :D SO glad you didnt give up on it :)

I have literally been trying to buy one for as long as I can remember, absolutely love it.

Excellent news.
Not that i didn't know it was coming anyway but still...
Glad you haven't given up, they really are worth the aggro once they are running.

Thanks guys. I'm hoping that the way it's put together this time will make it almost indestructible... I wreck most things tho so we shall see. Got a head just about sorted so not much left. I'm gonna go for a myhondahabit sump gasket and stud kit so that should take care of the issues I had there and an oe end seal.

Work starts this weekend by gutting the garage as its been in a **** state since the head was removed.

Be sure the sumps sealing surface is flat, slight bend in the sump and no gasket will seal it...
Looking forward to the updates!

I'm leaning towards getting a moroso mate. At this rate there isn't going to be much Honda left in the engine!

I've a moroso, decent enough sump like. No need to mess about getting baffles and drain back welded in etc.

Yeah. Can't remember if you need an adaptor for it though. It's like 1/2bsp or something like that for some reason

1/2 npt sounds massive for the temp probe? My probe thread is 1/8 I think.

Yeah you need an adaptor. One of the things that annoys me about the sump really. Who the **** runs a 1/2 thread temp sensor?

Been following your build and lurking in the background on here for a while. Man I hope it's ok this time, especially after all the time and effort you put in last time. Everyone seems to be having a bit of bad luck lately with boosted 9's.......and I've just boosted mine lol!
