i decided i wanted something a little different to my previous cars, something with potential that hasn't been done to death. made 5k back from the sale of my beloved civic

and 2 days later i was in posession of the banana. Fully standard, 2 lady owners with full skoda history, 77k etc etc.Now this may have seemed a wierd choice but i'm not one to buy something ****, already have plenty of plans and rest asured it will have as much time and effort spent on it as my previous cars.
so heres how it looked on autotrader

Bought a K03s off good ald ebay for £250. gonna send it away to get a few bits done to support 280bhp-300bhp and have all bearing etc replaced, in the mean time will get together all the other bits im needing so i can put them all on in one fell swoop and get it mapped etc. should have all the bits ready for summer i'm reconning.

replaced the dogbone mount to for a poly one, feels a lot more positive and has prevented a bit of wheel hop, not bad for £20 anyhow

Fuel pump arrived. will fit one day. may aswell put little bits on. wont affect anything and just eliminates something else that needs fitting. Front mount is put on hold till end of the month now. Definately going for a Forge with blakc hoses. have an idea what to do with the bumper too so its getting the most cold air without looking obvious!

bits left to buy are AFR gauge and lamda, turbo back system, front mount and send the turbo off to be hybrided

plans are to have all bits ready to be bolted on and mapped for summer, power should be upto around the 300mark with similar torque, have been looking into lsds too.

Nice i like what you've done with it so far a brave choice but then those car are very good and have lots of potential. I think your going to embarrass alot of people :D :nice:

Not really my kinda car, but respect for trying something else! And power should be really nice.

Get past the badge and its a vw/audi underneath, great build quality and a lot of car for the money. i did look into golfs etc but they're done to death and i wanted to try something silly. i think the colour tops it off nicely. did go a see a red one but it was a bin, silver and black never tickled my fancy either.

Brave!

Good choice though, Its not often you see a Skoda thats a headturner
Seen a fabia decked on dish wheels the other day and really liked it

Obviously its soo different to the Ek4 but how does it compare speed wise?

its a different kind of speed compared to the b18d civic, the civic would be slower off the line but then scream top end, the skoda has lots more torque and feels a lot different to drive, in a straight line the skoda is miles better, in the twisties the civic would be off down to the fact of holding gears for longer etc. lsd in the civic was great too which i plan on doing to this. i think with the same time thrown into this it will make an awesome car whilst retaining comfort, its never gonna be like a honda round the twisties and i accept that, but saying that i've got a bike for that anyhow ;)

Golf sucks, better to have this alright!

I see that you are making a good job on your Skoda but I would never by a Scoda

what engine do these have ?

How much power?

and whats the performance figures saying?

so much for a 3 week wait! turned up this morning, quality looks great! its fooking big enough!

shall be fitting at weekend and modifying bumper a tad ;)

nice , its good to try something different .... do you miss hondas??

if im honest....no! however mad it sounds, dont get me wrong i loved every second of mine, but this is in another league! newer, quiter, soon to be quicker, just all seems a lot more refined, more than which is due to it being newer, saying that id have another honda anyday. i just didnt fancy an ep3 at the time!

She is very nice and i didn't think that was possible outta a skoda! I like it mate. Nice color too. There is way too many back and silver cars on the road so you made a good choice in color!
