thats the one am looking on buying too.. heard so many good things about PLM mani's but not seen very many people run them.

i use the tegiwa version much better quality on flange and pipes compared to my old plm rmf replica.

I use the tegiwa one also. Much better build quality! Similar design though, and good gains from the one I have...can't see the plm one being much different power wise.

There's a dyno comparison thread on honda tech. I've got one myself.

Just bought one & got it on yesterday, I would say the build quality isn't bad.. The tig welding was more good I'd say! Does give quite a bass-er tone through the revs.. I think I like it more than my mugen 4-1 had on it.

I will always stand by 'you get what you pay for' :)

Yes, sometimes you pay a lot of scenetax to get a lot of streetcred though...if that's what you wanna buy, fine :p But that's a whole different discussion altogether. Also not saying that's the case for this header (would nee to see before and after dyno's on same car with both headers first).

im running the skunk2 aplha header seems really good, before that i had the blackworks tri-y big tube header it made great power on my built b18

To a small degree you a right! What you are referring to would only constitute for a small percentage of quality parts available!!

With ''Scene tax and JDM taxed' items you are mainly paying for the name not always the quality or performance increase.

how do you feel? better than stok spec 98 4-1 header?

I've just gone from a proper toda to the '98sepc 4-1 and there is a very noticeable difference, especially midrange area around the vtec crossover point (I found I could run on the high cam at MUCH lower rpm and make more power). Not sure on the PLM though, I bought (second hand so I may have been had) a PLM long 4-2-1 (hy-tech knock off) manifold and the quality is very poor. they may have upped their game or this may not be a PLM header as suggested above, but the weld quality is poor, the flange not flat and its generally not a great piece of engineering.

Just fitted mine, what a night and day difference over jdm 98 spec 4-1! Way better midrange and top end.

Hav just ordered one of these an will b going on my b16b nxt week, there is an Oem 98 spec mani fitted at the moment so will b good to see the difference,
