Please stop doing it guys

Agree we are looking at it from different angles.
You are looking at it from a "money" point of view, and im looking at it at a "theres no point in ripping mint cars to bits" point of view.
Money aint everything imo :nice:

What would you do with your car Gav if you were to sell mate

It isn't, but neither are cars mate haha. If it means that much then don't get rid of it either way :D

The person that buys it's for 40% less will then break it and make a quick buck out of it!

There are still enthusiasts out there.

Breaking is attractive because there are not enough people with the cash to buy cars at the moment. However, it won't be like this forever

mine categorically won't be for sale though :nice: sure it's got a lot of money tied up in it.. in fact it's probably going to have cost me more than my impreza. but my loan is payed off on it and whats in it is what i can afford to put it's way each month :)

maybe in the future they'll turn into the likes of twincams (ae86) and people will pay a mad ransom for them and the parts!

Can see everyones point of view on this. People say money aint everything but lets face it , it is alot. Someone aint going to sell there car for say 6000 when they could make 10000 from breaking it. Yes its a shame but money is money and selling it for the 6000 and being happy someone else has the car does not make up for the extra 4000 you could have got. Tough times call for tough desissions

instead of breaking people should but their cars back to standard as much as possible and sell as standard cause standard cars seem to be selling better plus they can get the money back for there expensive parts :)

An ek9's desirability is partly due to it being rare.. Or at least something you don't see everyday! Punks breaking ek9's are making them even rarer, and therefore more desirable :nice: handy if your selling up in three years :))
I'm being greedy.. I'm keeping mine forever.

That's how everyone should be thinking lol ;)

If anyone has been looking at ek9's forsale in Japan you will soon see there are many more than you'd expect. I also noticed. All the prime example ek9's are still in Japan it seems. In esscence it seems that the cars we import and give or 6 or 7 k for are ones that Japan are not going to particularly miss from what I can see looking at other examples available there. I was looking at 9's in Japan and planning a Holiday around picking one next year. But after looking at dealer prices were all the real "Quality" examples seems, with sometimes with miles as low at 3 or 4k. They were looking around from 10-15k mark in GBP :O. I'm not saying all our cars are scrap lol. It's just EK9's with low miles and good condition are holding their price well! It is a shame there are a lot being broken. But the EK9 will be around for a good few years yet judging by the "JDM" markert ;). Although. I don't even have an ek9 :angry2:, wanted one but I couldn't miss out on the SiR.
