Please be careful when getting out of my car recaro bolseter asre so fragile!

Don;t you hate how fragile recaro bolsters are, my driver side one is so knackered, but there is more to the story, now that I am aware of this fault, I have been uber cautious, take this for example,
at work we do this car sharing programme, lucky me I am a driver, and who did I have to get, (yes you prolly guessed it the biggest mofo ever which must have wieght twice as much as me, and alot wider then my passenger seat, so you can imagine the expression on my face when he finally gets up. I saw the creases and almost cryed whilest trying to nurse it back to health by trying to smooth it out with my hand, luckily it survived the first ordeal. the next day I had to pick him up again, but this time Ihad to emarrasingly break it to him that if he wanted to have a lift to work he had to sit in the back seats (he wasn't too impressed). Then came to the 3rd day but to my relief he phoned up early and said for now on someone else is taking me to work. I never felt so at ease whilest felling like a total A-hole at the same time, but at least my seats get to see anotherday =] :dance::dance::dance:

ah man, I know exactly how you feel, happened to me last week when I kindly offered a lift to a lad in my job and only then realized what I ve done. Never though I would care so for much about the seat:nerv: but this 'pork chop' was so big my car actually tilted to the left .... filthy animal :D:D:D Next day I said I am going the opposite direction hahaha
 
ha mate cant believe you actually done that!! haha.....can understand it though. i had to bring my friends da home before on a 2 and half hour drive . wide man to be fair and when he got up and i saw the creases i had the exact same feeling as you !!!;)
 
All I can say is thank god for replacement bolsters even if they are a pain in the ass to fit

hahaha classic m8, recaros over workmates, i have taken all my seats out the jordan including the back seats and out in two recaros to stop people wrecking my jordan seats lol

my dad has an integra and i just got the bolsters redone so i have shown my friends how to get in and out the car without damaging the bolsters.

I'm always obsessing over my recaro's but never quite had the balls to ask anyone to sit in the back yet .

this dude was humongous I didn't know what to be more frightend of him, gettting offended and ripping my face off or having a mangled up seat, (I risked my face)

usually I roll around with no rear seat, I actually had to buy a rear bench just for him, that prolly another reason why was was offended
 
lol this is funny...it a shame i have no recaros :(
 
same absolutely hate people who disrespect my recaros, u have to teach them how to get in and out without ruining them lol
 
hahah this thread is brilliant !! Not had the problem but know what you mean everytime someone gets out my car i check the seat to make sure its ok and give it a quick brush over with my hand Lol

And i have a special way of getting in to my seat just to be safe haha

Whats everyones trick method of getting in and out of the car without damaging bolsters?
I know 1 or 2 guys that usually pull themselves up and out of the car with the help the A pillar?

I'm thinking about getting some seat covers once I replace the drivers bolster too...hoping this might pro long the life of the bolster a lil?
