Pearse's 1996 JDM DC2 Integra Rare Starlight Black -small project-

ok folks bought this recently in england and took it home to northern ireland via my local transport firm,i set about making it immaculate again as black cars show everything,involved alot of late nights and work
nearly finishd now so will update daily

As i got her







Work and Money begins

car bonnet now sold to kellslad,New number plates and fog lights bulbs ,both blew



New stickers from tegiwa,phil and joonay ,installed to last mm
changed wheels studs from genuine rays to d1s for now



calipers cleaned down,ech primed and painted with heat proof vht paint

new genuine volk ray te37 stickers from japan,didnt take to long to come
im taking rays off car and keeping them,iv a new set for the car



body work good all around unless for front and rear bumper and carbon bonnet so i bought new oem bonnet from saint Matt,
some marks,spider web effect on clear coat,chips ,scuffs,marks,damge on bumpers etc

Work begins as im quiete fussy she needs to be perfect





bumper damge rubbed down and filled,flattened wit 3m 80,120,240,320,400,800

masked with 3m and then primed with 2k primer







front straight as day she came out factory in japan



spray colour check o be perfect,biscuit tin+petrol flap :)




rear bumper to be took off,good loves draper expert,rear of car like new too :)











floor damped,bumper panel wiped and tack clothed etc,1st coat of base!!
heaters on to warm place up

now time for paint correxction on whole car with all differnt products,
detart,bilt hammer clay,compound,polish then wax,meguirs and autoglm products






New distributor as she quiet produceing spark,only had her 2 days,
new Tec dizzy TD-86U well 2nd hand low milage fully working order
on and tested and timming set :)



ok so 2 new OEM Honda badges from honda to brighten car up



deswirlled to see difference,car has now beatiful paint



Headlights maked and took out to be corrected also,
a little cloudy but brought up as new with 2000,1500 wet n dry,farcela coupound g3 ,auto glm paint renovater,meguirs wax



bumpers now back on to be aged yet with 2000 wet dry and new compound machined then polised waxed

its gona look smart when its done. i used to own a 1993 jdm sir-g, Loved it!

96 spec Teg's are soo cool...best of luck with it. I'm sure you'll have it looking spotless if your 9 is anything to go by :D

Now fully sericed,cambelt and tensioner,water pump,new motul oil from simauto,oil filer sump washer,fuel filter,spark plugs x4,rear brake pads,rack gaiders,new cam cover from my self,new exedy clutch kit just to be safe as car has a S80 gearbox and fuchs 75-90w gearbox oil ,got gallon so could do my own ek9 as well :)



No hood :( because of phil

Bought these BSA lightweight 15" alloys off fella with good tyres
look a mix between oem asiatec 96spec wheels and volk ray cn28
and in pretty good condition in silver so im giving them full refurb
in volk ray Bronze ,work below,just done tonight,fitted tomorrow

im keeping the volks te37s my self and they are getting refurb very soon also to be 100% like new,im thinking of selling the integra shortly

Great transformation mate, very impressive.

Where did you learn to spray / do bodywork? Something I have always wanted to be able to do.
 
im a electrisian by trade but iv puck up on bodywork from my father over the years he a mechanic and bodyman and lorryman lol
shes def going a type R rep
final pics tomorrow then shes up for sale
 
mint,mint car seen in the flesh and can vouch for how clean this thing is.Also came with a full fujitsubo exhaust
 
Cracking work there lad , cars really coming together :nice:
 
that is absolutely spotless peasre mate :) great work as u said its amazing what a bit of tlc can do to a car mate :)
