Hey folks . was speaking to honda today and they are trying to tell me they can only sell the bumper painted although when i phoned about 6 months ago asking for one they gave me a price for one in primer .

does anyone have the part number for a front facelift ek9 bumper in primer ???

:thanks: John

04711S04A00ZZ. I was told by Lings that it is without any fixings or bumper bar and comes unpainted. And I'm guessing you're after the front bumper not rear.

How much were Honda asking for a painted bumper?

£240ish plus VAT for painted ones.

That's not a bad price, was expecting far worse, not cheap either though lol. Thanks Kozy :nice:

yeah front bumper as said in first post . thanks cw i will go call honda now :p

they were asking £204 + v.a.t - 15% trade discount which is pretty good but im needing one that is in primer as i will have to get the front end painted for it to match .

away to phone honda now :p

That is a pretty good price, is it only the front bumper you are painting? you might be surprised the colour matching is quite good from my experience

can someone confirm this is a front facelift ek9 bumper as honda are being weird about it because i asked them to check that part number

Ah, my bad I just had a check through and the description is FACE, FR but I think the word 'face' isn't for the facelift it's just to say it's not the actual metal bumper underneath it's just the covering. Apologies, looks like I might have got it wrong, it could be a pre-facelift one. :nerv:

Edit: Definitely a front bumper and definitely unpainted though, just it could be a pre-facelift or a facelift.

John, just give them the chassis code, tell them you need need the bumper itself and the PN will probably be in primer anyway. It it is for a painted one just change the last two digits to ZZ as I advised you before and then its the correct bumper in primer. :nice:

yeah i gave them the chassis code and they tell me they only sell it painted which i dont want . i will give them a call today and ask them to change the last 2 digits to zz and see what they say . they are useless up my way . no interest in helping anyone

phoned honda dude and they say when they put zz at the end now it comes up as discontinued . as the boy said they used to come in primer but for some reason now they dont :(

sounds like their trying to skin you like what parks of hamilton would do.. charge for a painted bumper have it painted by their bodyshop and add an extra markup on it

try a different honda dealership to see what they can get theres chathams in edinburgh, and their generally pretty helpful when i've been ordering stuff

I've phoned honda/lings and they both said they have no stock of facelift Ek4/9 bumpers and will not untill june/july time mate.

I've had to buy one from japan... sigh:(
