Painting Rotors?

He probably mean the hat surface of the disc.

Some rotors already comes painted.
So yes, but how long it will last, I don't know.

Do you mean paint everything black apart from where the brake pad touches...?

Let me put it this way. The wheels I currently have expose the rotors, and brake calipers. I painted the calipers black. So now I have to deal with looking at a steal or whatever material the brake rotors are. My wheels are fully black. So what I want to do is try to blend the rotors with the wheels. Which is why I want to paint the rotors but, I didnt know if it was possible.

you paint it black, and the paint will go away when you brake, and will mess up your pads

Rotors and pads slow down your car by friction...

Hard metalic compound rubbing the paint = :nono:

its a big no no.....your risking your safety for looks? honestly bad move man..

Please dont waste ur time and dont waste the black paint, as painting the rotor will not end with everthing black unless you ends up in a serious accident and get blind.

Serious man, rotors can be painted!!! But it will not last for a single ride, and only can put you in problem damaging ur pads etc.

So DONT do it! Invest some money, and by black rotors

the shiny portion becomes that way because your brakes are working as they should. if painting the disc hats black are still too much for you to bare, take them off and install drums front and rear.

If you are that bothered, I would suggest you look into Black Diamond brake rotors I linked you on page 1. Seriously.
