Opinions - Miester R or BC coilovers

I have meister R's on my em1 seem to handle the road very well similar to the HSD mono pros I had on my EG

Only thing I don't like about the meister R's is there universal eg/ek fitment on the rear, just seems abit cheap to me. Can't fault the bc's I had on my Evo.

Ah... that is one of the best feature of the MeisterR Civic suspensions.
Because specifically created for the Civic owners.

Most suspension have a EG or an EK fitment, so when owner change car (many time they do, or re-shell into another chassis), they can't take their coilovers with them.
With the adjustable bracket, you can use the suspension on any Civic without worrying about compatibility issue.
Also, it mean you have a wider market if you decide to sell your coilovers.

I think we are the only suspension supplier that include new high tensile strength damper bolt with our coilovers (as we know that bolt always snap).

The spacers are also not little washers that flow about, it is actually are design to slot into the lower bracket so fitment is perfect.
We put a lot of thought into that rear bracket to especially cater to the owners need, I don't think any other manufacturer done that much specific research for a particular chassis.

Of course, MeisterR started with the Civic so it is obvious that we done the most research on the civic. :)

Agree with Jerrick on that.

Is always a pain trying to sell EG specific suspension, when most people you know run EK's. Or even if you want to trade up from EG to EK9 means you can swap your coilovers straight over.

Think its one of the Meister R's best features.

Have bcs for the last few months... cant fault them. The are quite solid but not uncomfortable. I use the car everyday too

Had Miesters on my civic for 3.5 years, used daily, and on track. very happy with them, they do everything I want and have ages fairly well. Only now started to get a bit of flakiness on the springs..(minor)

Don't get me wrong it's a good idea, but I feel it could do with improving. I've known people who have had the rear lca bushings start to fall out over time when using the little shims when fitting them to an ek. To stop this happening on my friends car we fitted large washers to hold the lca bushing in place.

When you say shims, are they fitting EG coilovers on to EK with washers?

Like I said, the MeisterR do not use washer, it is actually a bespoke spacers that slot into the bracket. So the spacers are not "loose", and are connected to the bracket as one piece.
The washer is a cheap way because it is just loose hanging on the bolt (it also make installation tricky when you have to aim through all the holes to line them up).

I haven't heard of any issue with EK using the MeisterR rear bracket system, and we have been offering them for over 4 years now.

This is what I mean, the bushings have slipped out over the supplied spacers as they're the same size as the metal sleeves on the lca bushings.

To stop the risk of this happening again on a different friends car we added 2 large washers either side between the bush and the spacer to stop them walking out over time.

I see what you are saying about the bush.... but at the same time not sure if that is really the suspension's fault.
I mean... the bush on the LCA basically fall apart? I don't think bushes is supposed to do that.

You can get a set of OEM LCA and put it on the car... and what you describe would not happen.
Or any other LCA that use rubber bush, or bush that comes in one piece.

Junk2 lca's use 2 piece bushings.
