Hi team,
Any one of you use OHLINS suspension, please share with me your experience. Is it good compare to another brand like tien or buddy club?

It's suitable for normal driving?:drive:

i'll come back to you on this, i have some Ohlins coilovers waiting to be installed! :)

had them on my car for over 2 1/2 years now . great all round coilover . very comfy even if lowered alot .

Ohlins are the best suspension manufacturer on the planet, nuff said really.

Far better than the usual JDM crap

Can I ask which specific model of ohlins you guys use on the ek9?

I personally class the Ohlins DFV one of the best coilovers money can buy until you get into SILLY money coilovers.

If you can afford Ohlins DFV, you aren't going to go far wrong.

I don't doubt that ohlins isn't the best suspension in the world bla bla bla...

But what do you mean with JDM crap???

Look's like a lot of people here have some problem with japanese parts...

ohlins coilovers are fantastic but expensive and expensive to rebuild when needed but in my experience they are about as good as you get for any car but like anything the road going ohlins are a far cry from 4 way adjustable race car coilovers but that said they are designed for the road and road car budgets, in comparison to tein, apexi and others that i've used they are far better not just very stiff they usually have a good combination of spring rates and damper settings the like you will not find on d2 etc

If only they made the DFV with 10kg / 8kg standard springs would be savage but hey... Ohlins market them as road suspension too.

Rebuilds are : £125 + Vat for labour and usually £60 for parts , per coilover

i had a set on my mr2 turbo and if set up right they are the best money could buy without doubt!

U can buy swift springs for that spec.

I know , I had priced them already :D

Dampers need to be revalved tho so says a Ohlins specialist even to cover the 3kg difference in the rear , the damping is very sensitive to spring rate change

r u looking for a fast road setup? why 8kg on the rear?

I have ohlins on my DC2. Great suspension. They're really worth that price. doesn't sacrifice a lot comfortability.

I have non DFV ohlins 2 way on my ek.

20kg front eibachs
16kg rear eibachs

Cusco upper rose joint top mounts on all 4

Very simple, nothing comes close to how flat these keep the car, and how much feedback you get from them.

1 bad thing I found with them is in a boosted civic with no power steering, if ur not driving properly they will find the ditch before you do.

They are extremely camber sensitive which is very good for racing.

Note* this could also be because I'm running such heavy spring ratings.

Only other brand I would compare to ohlins is nitron.

Hope this helps.
