We tuned the car on the dyno with the following results:

dyno_nw_motor.jpg

The thick lines are the last run.
As you can see the numbers are not as expected from this build...
Also the torque seems to fall off after 7500 rpm...

We allready eleminated the following things:

- Intake-pipe
(used other intake pipe with almost identical results)
- Throttle-body
(used 4 different ones of which current one performed the best but all with 4-5hp)
- Cam-timing
(cams are dialed in)
- Exhaust
(open-header run shows similar results)

Things still open to be suspected:

- Intake-manifold
(however should be one of the best out there)
- Header
- Cams

If anybody has any ideas what might be wrong or limiting flow here, please let me know! :)

Looking forward to read and hopefully also post some usefull information here!

With special thanks to:

Hi mate and welcome great cars n great spec

welcome mate, sorry to see what happened to your hatch at least it died at a good place :nice:

Car runs and sounds like a charm mate, we need to make some serious noize together sometime!! ;-)

Thanks all for your reply!

@ Dan-k;

Thanks mate!

@ Gav-EK9;

Indeed it died at a good place, however it still hurts to see the pictures of the accident. After the accident happened we continued the day with another car of a friend of mine... The best way to get over an experience like that!:nice:
Luckily our insurance isn't as difficult as i understood the UK ones are...

@ COZ!!!;

I don't doubt my tuner. We tried more/less timing, more/less fuel... All without a change... The mixture stays normal also above 7500rpm.

@ Knite Force;

Hahaha! Jep, indeed the car runs great!
I remember you discovered how to upload video's from your phone to youtube.... ;)
I am ready to make some noise... only waiting for you... so hurry up! :)

@ Darkside;

Thanks! I have heard from the guys, but don't really know them in person.

PS: My car is DIRTY... needs a good wash...

Welcome to the forum bud . Both nice cars :nice:

So help me! That oughtta speed up things some more ;-)

Wow. nice cars, shame about the crash. Welcome and enjoy the forum :)

that looked like a sore one m8 :( me and a few friends are thinking of take the civics up there next year however after seeing that i am not doubting whether to go or not i could not bare seeing my car dragged off the track in bits :( ur coupe looks class m8 :)

@ Knite Force;

Haha, i doubt it... she never runs as good with you as she runs with me...
Or you just cant drive it.. ;)

@ Jordan;

It is allready a fantastic experience just going to the ring and look around at the different sights next to the track. And if it is a calm day, then you can easily do a lap with your own car. Accident happened on the bussiest day of the year... easter...

@ Everybody;

Thanks for your responses!

Looking to put my car on another Dyno soon, to compare the old one since lately it seems to read really low on all kind of build cars coming from there...
Also received my shipment from Opie-Oils! Looking forward to see how she likes the new oil!

Finally managed to put my car on another Dyno since we were doubting the correctness of the other Dyno.

Results:

B18C_dyno.jpg

211 EngHp @ 8200 rpm
189 EngNm @ 7600 rpm
182 WheelHp @ 8200 rpm

Only thing i still want to tune is the cam-timing and intake-length to gain a little more on top. Hoping that we can somehow get the torque to hold-on for a little longer. :)
