Hi guys,

MODS feel free to move this if it's gone in the wrong place.

I'm looking to get my car on a rolling road for a full tune however I'm trying to find a decent honest reliable place, there are so many different place's out there my head's mashed!

I've found the following places through research on here, CRX UK and general internet research and they all seem to get good feedback.

Powerstation - Tewkesbury (Midlands)
Motoscope - Northallerton (North East)
Well Lane Garage (North East)
TDI North (Warrington North West)

I've seen these dudes too but they're in Northampton so a bit far away and also from what I've read Romain at Eurospec is also supposed to be good too but again a bit too far away from me.

Northampton Motorsport - Rolling Road

Can anyone recommend a decent place that has honest tuners that know what they're doing? Has anyone been to any of the above for a tune? Not overly interested in power figures I'm just looking for the car to run nice and smooth with improved driveability.

Thanks.

but I don't think he knows there are tdi north and a tdi south

but tdi north are great iv dealt with them a number of times and I arranged a dyno day there that was printed in banzai :win::drive::bow::D

Yea sorry guys i didnt know their was a south n rdt.tv is really good he over north east he mapped sum big powered b series running 10's n under

Tdi north are a friendly bunch. As is will at rdt. I live near tdi north so I use them mainly.

Many thanks gents for the responses.

That Will guy sounds like he knows what he's doing especially when it comes to Honda's so that's encouraging.

Mine's going back for another road tune in a few weeks as it's mapped on CROME on a chipped P28/P30 ECU.

Can I ask, when it comes to tuning on a Dyno can a tuner such as this Will guy tune the car no matter whether it's running off a chipped ECU or standalone ECU?

I'm basically after smoother driveability and accelaration more than anything and to make the most of the B20's torque and from what I've read a rolling road dyno is better than a road tune as you can get the car up to peak power where as this isn't possible in an everyday road scenario.

Why are you bothering with another road tune if you plan to get it dyno mapped?

Because I'm having a few problems with the way it's running and Daz who I got it off is taking it back to his for 2 weeks to have a good look over it and sort it out (hopefully) so I imagine he will be taking it out for another road tune at some point.

I'm not getting it Dyno'd just yet. I am hoping in about a month or two's time to be getting a 4-2-1 manifold done by Alan at Solid Fabrications and I'll be replacing the intake too with a J's racing at the same time so I will be getting it Dyno'd at that point to make the most of the mods. The RMF header that's currently on is a 4-1 and it doesn't belong to me, some lad off the CRX forum has let me borrow it for the time being but he wants it back come the summer.

Just trying to find out where the best place to take it is for now.

Ok fair enough. You can buy a PLM RMF copy manifold from the states for decent money

I'm probably going to go for a custom made one tbh mate. He's quoted me £500 and I'd probably pay around that for an aftermarket one anyway.

Thank you anyway for the info dude!
