Hello Everyone,

My names Will and i like Hondas, god that sounded like i was at an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting!! Started Building Hondas a fair few years back now with no experience and used a granny spec shopping car ek4 Civic as my project/learing tool. Over the course of a year or so i completley stripped the car and rebuilt using nice coilovers, upgrading brakes and importing an Integra type R motor from Japan. After a steep learning curve, lots of long nights and weekends over about 2 years it was complete and ready to be abused...

and then 3 days later some idiot pulled out on me and did this>>

IMAG0018.jpg

Was absolutley gutted. Nothing i could do and luckily all parts where insured. 60mph t-boning a bmw e46 bloody hurts. Seat lifted off the rails and flung my head into the windscreen and chest into a nice 320mm momo wheel!! I ended up losing about 6 grand when the insurance finally paid out a year and a half after the crash!!

Onto better things... I decided that i couldn't buy another ek as i would always compare it to my old one which i did actually adore. So i just wanted to buy a ropey dc2 integra, take it on track and kick its head in. After a month or so found a mechanically sound but abit of a minger JDM integra. But what did i do... I have spent the last 2 years stripping it down and making it mint(ish). Couldn't help myself and couldn't have a ropey car. Spent silly money on it now and we are finally getting somewhere with it. Fully caged, full flocked interior, big brakes, rock hard chassis set up, semi slick tyres etc etc and i love it. Just got it out of the workshop after a month of hell. I thought i would try my hand at a simple wire tuck. Nothing fancy just a tidy up and delete my PAS, ABS and AC. Well this didn't happen. I went a bit mental and tucked, shaved and resprayed everything i could!! I did it just to prove to myself i could really. I take pride in my car and it means alot to me that i tackle everything myself. Sorry to go on and on and bore you lot. Hope to see you at events and track days throughout 2011 as the teg should be all back together soon in full working order :)...

Hello mate, laughed quite alot reading that.
"So i just wanted to buy a ropey dc2 integra, take it on track and kick its head in." LMAO

TBH mate that first EK was incredibly good looking... may have to copy some parts of that.
I too had someone write off my car again mine was a black EK4 and i was in the process of taking to a nice spec, it was MINT however , but now it sits on my drive looking twisted and sorry for its self..

More pics of the EK4 would be nice... keep us updated with your Teg, the wire tuck looks great , a little obsessive ( jokes ) nah it does look great mate.

bay smoooth. I spent 145 hours in total in 4 weeks worth of weekends and evenings. The rent was out on the workshop and i was going on holiday the day the rent was up at 10:30. I fired it up and drove it home at 730 on that Saturday. Packed and went to the airport after the hardest most intense month ever...

Getting the bay smooth was a nightmaire and i never ever want to do it again. It took soo much effort to apply the filler and sand day after day with varied results!! Took a total of 22 hours just to do this part of the build and my god it was depressing.

nice write up mate, its a real shame about your civic :(, you must must of been absolutely furious when that happen after all that hard work, time and effort, i was sickened for ya when reading your post... but as far as the teg goes, its looking mint, thank god you changed the lexus style lights :naughty: best of luck with the car mate, it really does look well :nice:

Stunning car mate, Quite a spec list you've got going on now :D Look forward to seeing this in the flesh! :nice:

Welcome aboard!

Welcome to the forum mate , sweeet introduction :nice:

Cheers guys :). Means alot to me. Mr Chris the wheels i would love to say are "ballin, hellaflush, Illest" (or whatever the cool kids say) CPR Sprint harts but i am unfortunatley not that Gangster and like the idea of being able to buy reasonably priced, brand new wheels that can be replaced if i buckle one on track or doing something silly with ease so opted for the Rota TrackRs. :D Not that i can say anything after buying Takatas lol.
