fresh off the boat and onto my driveway,its a Version 5 STI type R
on the way are

fmic
apexi power fc and boost control kit
apexi gt mani and downpipe
walbro fuel pump
oil control baffle
high volume oil sump
HPI Oil Cooler kit
High Volume and High Pressure oil pump
cusco coilovers

some note off the blitz nurspec it has on it

Love it mate, i'm going to be looking for exactly the same car soon! Going to be selling my ek9 after xmas. :p

Scooby's are just one of those cars that ever since I passed my test I have always wanted so while I can i'm going to buy one!!

How quick is it out of interest? Is it defo worth getting a type r over a 4 door wrx?

vtec-boi - An ek9 doesn't compare to the sti type r really cuz they run nearly 300bhp standard and awd its just a different league I think. :shocked:
 
i think youlll find theres i few boys on here that have went from a lot bigger bhp cars to ek9 and they were surprised how good the ctr's are

yeah if you must get a scoob it has to be a good one like a p1 or 22b or somethin (bit pricey though) have played around with wrx`s in the 9 and for 2 ltr turbos they ain`t that quick. My mate has a 56 plate 2.5ltr wrx and he has to really push it hard to escape my little 1.6 hatch :p
 
a subie needs a good turbo upgrade, exhuast system, fuel upgrade, and tuning to be a proper car in my opinion.
 
Ahh I sold my ek9 a few weeks and got myself an evo 5 :)

EK9s are very fun to drive great for corners and country roads but straight line speed is no no.

As for my new evo it's powerful but yet can too easy to drive all you have to do is put your foot down you can pretty much out run anything on the road.

my last car was 320bhp awd before the 9,i bought the 9 because of money issues and needed a fairly cheap car at the time,i loved my 9 though,handling was spot on but tthe power is just not there at all so i had to buy another turbo car

thats either bullshit or else their cars are wrecked.....

if you knew cars you would know that the p1 is 20kg heavier and is a slower qm time than the sti type R which has a qm time of 12.9(factory)

the 22b is 10kg heavier than the sti R but has a quicker q/m time due to being 2.2l (12.7 Q/M)

apart from my first car ek4 sir,the 9 is the slowest ive owned but the savage handling and raw feel wins me over.....

there is no comparing both cars the sti R wins everytime
 
HaHa! In a straightline from the off those turbos destroy the EK9 from about 80mph up. Not keen on the bodykit mind.

bullshit ?, i ain`t sayin **** bout p1`s, 22b`s, type r`s i don`t know enough bout scoobs to start rantin but i do know there is a wrx wagon that jumps bout my bit and he can`t out accelerate me ! and as for my mates i never said it wasn`t faster but he does have to give it some to pull away. and i ain`t tryin to brag or nothin just makin a point that i don`t talk bullshit.
But nice motor all the same
 
i went from a Jordan to a STI-R.... theres no comparison between the two... STI-R wins hands down...

The impreza is not like your normal UK watered down scoobs... the sti-r is far more focused, plus its rear wheel drive biased hehe...
