New exhaust

I went through to Dunx on wednesday to have a new exhaust fitted.


Kakimoto GT 1.0oz

With the bung in it sounds a little louder than OEM and can easily cruize on the motorway without it being noticable and vtec sounds really nice


With the bung out, well there is no other way to put it, its bloody loud and vtec sounds amazing..

So i think i will be keeping the bung in most of the time and then pop it out when im in the mood for a play

I had the 9 at powerstation in tewkesbury today to see what it had on the rollers

My car is stock apart from a HKS air filter and a Kakimoto GT exhaust that i got off Dunx a few months back.

My first run wasnt too impressive with the following figures:

Engine power : 173.5 BHP
Wheel power : 117.2 BHP
Drag power : 56.4 BHP
Torque : 109.1 lbf.ft

For the second run i decided to take the bung out the exhaust to see if there was any difference.

Results


Engine Power : 190.5 BHP
Wheel power : 131.3 BHP
Drag power : 59.3 BHP
Torque : 118.5 lbf.ft

Nope,purely by removing the bung

if you look at the pictures guys its not that hard to believe its like a 4" hle reduced to the size of a 50pence peice lol what did you think was gonna happen.

it is a lot of hp to loose though just for some noise restriction.
really cool exhuast though love the little fat tail pipe little stubby thing lol.

Nope the OEM manifold and cat are still in place
