My Thunder Grey EJ9 !!! :D

hmm maybe, suppose that could give me about a 40mm drop then too.......
well i already have a set of japspeed adjustable springs. could i not use these but just not set them too low?

so set them to like -40mm along with ek9 shocks to produce about -50mm???

i wana keep it as a 1.4 for the time being, but eventually, who knows, maybe b18 it (moneys tight for the forseeable future though, student bum)

well heres a quick Fireworks mod of how id like it to look in the not toooo distant future :D

Looks good. but i have seen so many cars with those wheels. I would do somethign different to others but that is my opinion.

thanks spikeyhairdude. my last EJ9 i had 6 spoke ultralites on it, kind of a motorsport look. Ithink this time im gunna go for a stanced look seeing as its only a 1.4

thanks for the input though fella.

Well I've added some vibe front components and 6x9's today (under the speaker grills, no chavy parcel shelf holes) to improve the sound of my genuine honda clarion tape deck ;)

Is there any way to fix the lcd display? Its basically a blank orange screen. But if you look at it from certain angles, you can faintly make out the numbers.
Fixable? Or new headunit time?

Well i parked up at uni the other day next to a rather nice glanza, spoiler was a little big for my liking but a nice car all the same.
heres a few pics with my little civic next to it :

And thats the progress so far. will get a picture or two once ive fitted the grill and numberplate recess. Hope thew colour-match is okay.........

(should this really be a build thread? rather than a members rides thread? admins?)

I had a similar civic mate, they are great fun to begin with. Good luck with the build.

Thanks dev, i am really enjoying it at the minute. fairly nippy for a little 1.4 16v aswel. suits me down to the ground whilst im at uni and cant afford v-tec :'(
all in good time though!!

i really want a UK DC2 with the round headlights when i finish uni ;)

Well heres a few pictures of the badge-less grill and numberplate surround. i think they turned out okay, considering the damp cold apinting conditions. colour match isnt tooooo bad and should be even better once ive cleaned and polished up the lovely grey paint :

NOT all is well though. whilst fitting the grill and attempting to secure it rather than just 5 small plastic tabs along the bottom and the plastic screws in the top, i unfortunately snapped 3 of the tabs off. it still looks okay in my eyes, but the left hand side of the grill now has some play in it and doesnt sit as flush as the right side.

Because of this i decided i would experiment with butchering the standard grill to frankenstein a badgeless one (seeing as the OEM one has 4 screws to hols the bottom in place aswell as the ones on the top)
here it is so far, just need to prime and paint the chrome front panel and it should be done :D

all i used was a set of snips, hacksaw blade and pliers :

what do you guys think???

yeh i agree, does look better.

next mod will either be a new head unit (need one to replace my tape deck ;) )
or coilovers......hmmmmm........

That's a pretty decent match dude. where did you get the rattle cans from?

got the rattle cans freshly mixed by halfords in a 300ml can. i wasnt too impressed with the spraying nozzle, but it covered pretty well and the match was quite close. so im happy with it for the time being :D

Well done a few more quick photoshops of different OEM wheels i like (trying to be a bit different also)
