Well thanks to Yelsew a member on MCR-VTEC, i am now the proud owner of a 1996 1.4 16v D14 EJ9 civic!

its in very good condition for its age, a few dings here and ther, the usual rear arch rust but nothing serious. The only thing that needs doing is the front drivers side wheel bearing (which came with the car) and it will be sweet as a daily.

The plans are LOWS with bronze/copper coloured wheels. Not sure which direction to take it though. either BBS reps or like my previous EJ9, 6 spoke/motorsport type wheels....hmmmmmm

Nice lil project you have there love this colour! What are your plans!

Well the plans in my head so far are LOWS, and bronzey/coppery BBS reps i think. And the usual, wind deflectors and debadging etc.

Then i think 4-2-1, induction, exhaust (possible decat)

Is that a mugen lip I see, will look ace when it's fitted, thunder grey is a nice colour to get an EK in, don't see much of them around

i dont think its a gennuine mugen lip, but quite a good replica :D
i dont mind replica stuff if im honest.... im a student, on a budget!! lol

Hey man welcome again lol I've got some recaroes if you after some.

welcome to the fourm mate! great colour, good luck with the plans! :nice:

I only bought it today, so not had chance to spray and fit any of the parts yet.
I'm not planning on an engine swap if I'm honest. Just gunna mod it as a 1.4 and enjoy it for the time being.
I would love some recaro's for it, but money is tight atm in all honesty. My 1st priority is coilovers really, then probably new wheels and go from there.
Thanks for the comments and support guys :D

Thanks for the welcome everyone.
I was just wondering, are the EK9 shocks and springs shorter than the standard ones? And how much they would lower my EJ9 by?

The ek9 ontho are a very good upgrade but won't lower it by much roughly 10 15 mm not sure tho

Why dont you insted get the ek9 shocks and put some lowering springs on it as it will handle good and be low too
