My slow but sure EK4 build up!

Small update,

I went to galway at the weekend to meet Aonghus (Vtec6000) so he could road map my Apexi NEO.

He done a great job, told me what he was doing and why, explaining things as he went along as i haven't a clue about mapping or tuning!

To start the timing was all wrong from the start, so he sorted that first and then got stuck into the NEO.

Much smoother on the road now, and hopefully a bit more efficient cos it was overfuelling like hell, not to mention the timing being all wrong from the start

Big thanks man, will see ya after OZ with a few bits and pieces in my suitcase!:D

WOW :O, just spent the best part of an hour reading every update! Epic build from start to finish, turned out great!

Hope the ek4 im hoping to buy can turn out half as good as this! Did you really read books and just learn about the B series and do all the work yourself? think i may buy that book you mentioned :D

Keep us updated one of my favorite EK's

thanks man,
yea go for the book, its handy for reference but doesn't have the torque settings which is a bit of a balls. haynes manual had these-and a lot more handy bits in it.

Won't be doing much for a while cos i'm off to OZ in june. Hopefully take some bits in my suitcase back with me. :secret:

some build there mate!!! it looks mint! fair play to ya for putting in the time and effort! i bet it cost a fair bit! would love to do a similar build in the future if finances allow :)

Supercharger for a K20 or supercharger for a B18c ???? Great car, really admire this build!!

It's a rebuilt JSRC unit, has everything needed including 330cc injectors, brackets etc.

Gonna have to get another crank pulley on cos I have shaved the other 2 belt locations off my oem one.

I haven't even seen it yet because it's sitting I'n my attic, and I'm still in OZ!

Nice one ted, had a full look though ur build up its sweet!! bet u cant wait to get the superchager on it.. bet u miss given it a blast lol:nice:

Cheers man, yea will be interesting with the charger on it, torque for a change lol!

I miss is car soooo much, Aussie cars are way overpriced, for a decent DOHC vtec EK your looking at about $8000 and up, that's about €6500 give or take.
I'm not into v8s although I have rented a couple for a bit of craic but wouldn't be owning one.
Vry rough silvias can be got for $4500-5500 but they are in bits and have a million things wrong with them. Ended up wi a 2.2 prelude, car number 10 in 1 year lol!:))

Can't Wait to do another track day in it, have to do 1 more without the charger first though.

U heading over this way man?!:naughty:

Lol, cheers man, good to have a flick thru this thread every now and again to remind me what is lying in the shed on the other side of the world!

Still wondering if I should've just gone k20 in the first place:nerv:
