Paint matched my calipers to my VC 1st coat, 2nd, on, and on, finale

the other day I had cleaned my grill w/ simple green. Mistake! It became ashy, so I hit it w/ some trim black.

Made my own spoiler pad, out of tool box liner. ( if any body needs this I have a template. )

Mounted wing and snapped some pics. THIS IS IT UNTIL A SHOOT!

HAHAHA!!! yes sir I did. Thanks. It's funny how how one purchase ( sir interior ) can change the outcome of a build. After I bought that, I WANTED this car to be legit as I could get it. Which leaves us here, LOL.

still no lug nuts to mount my wheels grrrr........here's some yesterday mods I did.

well...had some free time today. So I organized the garage a bit, and pulled out some 98 ex 9.5" knuckles to prep and paint sometime soon. I'd like to get my bbk on before the nastie meet.

Sprayed them down w/ degreaser

all psi washed out

then I sprayed it with pro. rust prep to help the paint process...20min later you can see it's doing it's thing.

Tomorrow I hope to add primer and maybe even a base coat. Fridays are always hectic.

today I dropped some primer down, while that dried I went out to check the mail..

...and bam. My yoson racing washers arrived! Thanks Ahmed ( aka Importfan2 ). So I took a break and installed some.

then a coat of flat black... I had to stop there and go pick up my daughter from school. When I got home, Ms. knowitall saw them on the porch, and said, "dad you should have painted those gloss black!" I replied, "I am," "She replied they look flat black to me." I laughed, "I'm not done yet!"

so to make her happy! I finished up.

well guys here's some stuff I began doing yesterday eve throughout the night for today's meet. So to mount my wilwood calipers I had to downgrade to upgrade using a DX knuckle. Since this knuckle did not have abs, there were no provisions on the knuckle to mount the ABS. I called a machine shop after a quick google searched and asked them about drilling the knuckle. The old famous, " I have to see it safety issue, " led me to more research. So I drilled and tapped the provisions myself.

We'll begin w/ The old brake setup

- ADDING ABS TO DX KNUCKLE -

The drill bits I used

my drilled mount locations 4 per knuckle

Then I used a m6x1.0 Tap bit - perfect size and pitch for oem bolts

Next I added teal part #2 of 4 MY VC.

Then I painted part #3 of 4 snippet of it installed.

Then hrs later teal mod 3.5 & 4 of 4 was done!! Wilwood calipers! Awesome! :thumbup:

So I today I had to touch up the caliper coating. I knicked some areas install day. Then I noticed the caliper center line needed to be re-adjusted so I took care of this today as well. Couple pics.
