My Northern America Sedan w/ a dash of oem flavor...

So came home from a small vacation, to find my car down the block and vandalized. I'm so glad I did the extra prep before I left. Not a single thing missing.

Neighbors didn't hear a thing........WHAT? next door to me lives an x-cop, across from me a detective, are you serious!?

Couldn't live with cars like this w/o a garage...
Sorry about the misfortune.

So many ppl don't deserve to breathe our air......

Tell me about it. Definitely going to get the garage prepared for this car. I was very fortunate to have my spiritual connection. I swear the night before God told me in a dream that someone would steal my car. The next morning when I woke up my wife had the same dream. So before I left I made sure all my anti-theft devices were in place to slow them down. Luckily & thankfully it worked perfectly.

...........sigh, time to get the car back on par.

I honestly wished it was legal to hook up an electrical current to the doors or what may it be while the vehicle is armed... that should do it.

Lol join the club. I'm trying to figure out a way to incorporate my own black box into my alarm system. So that it records when triggered. The problem is, if the car is never found then neither is the data. In addition a wireless feed is subject to distance.

Unless its mounted outside where the car was parked/stored, than I can retrieve afterwards, and view what it recorded while in range.

........Oh well just an idea

That would be nice.
I personally am going with a RF ID Alarm that requires no keys, not even for the Ignition Switch and a GPS tracker. Though with the way the alarm will be hooked up the only way it's going somewhere is to be towed no matter what you do.

Only draw back with the system I'm gonna use it won't have any kind of shock or glass break sensor. So pretty much an OEM Type "Alarm" system per say.

well w/ the insurance $$ coming I ordered some replacement goods & more.....

my replacement parts arrived today. Time to get my sedan back on par. some items I ordered were not required, I got a good deal on it all so I decided to freshen some components up.

So update for me was, I decided to install my new climate control, since my old bulbs were blown and maybe re-wire my alarm hoping to feel safer and push me to install my sir cluster. Trying to re-wire this alarm and cleaning things up were just not happening. "the pros" before did such a shotty job I was left alone baffled this morning.

So after sitting for a while I decided to take my lil $$ and go to some trusted pros. Got an appt. for today at 2:30 hoping to get this taken care of. Who taps a fog light harness for an alarm???? GRRR maybe that's why the blew every friday hahaha

carnage pics.

and here's a teaser pic of my new possible daily lip ;) Needs a tad bit of work. I can handle it tho' - vti/oem honda lip

later in the day, still unfinished

Long day of clean up! Glad to have my alarm back gonna prefect it a tad more!

dropped in my sir cluster w/ pivot shift light ( rpm activated ). That's how it cam when I bought it. I installed it more for the wife than self, but I like it for me too. Especially for future plans hehe

I was able to find rare interior here in the US, I bought them off a friend who began parting his sedan. I'll update more when it's all complete. just installed seats today. Tomorrow I will head out and complete my parts allocation. :p

Started w/ the rear. Had to Vacuum out beneath the seats, old lady had pets EWWWWW :p

And maybe you can see it, but I was given this awesome console lid - Now I need a matching boot, mugen rep going up in the classifieds.
1276725035.jpg

so I ate..... then hit the garage! I finished up the rear. Tomorrow I will hit the junkyard in hopes of finding a driver door side switch plug/pigtail for the power windows. I will try to re-pin the connector to accept usdm harness and control passenger window on the jdm door panel. As for the USDM driver side I will re-use the factory lumbar assy, trimming the jdm Passenger door panel to accept it's larger power window assy. ( pics tomorrow for clarification )

( Random Parts review: Never Buy Optimum Racing Spark Plug Wires They suck, break, and fall apart )

so I concluded this will be my fix. Graphing my single switch into my jdm sedan switch. Here's D-Day 1.

1277572725.jpg
1277572726.jpg
[/QUOTE]

.....after consideration of material costs and my labor, I decided to go ahead and pay $25 more than my mental estimation to have my switch graphed and integrated professionally, reducing the chance of failure.

I ended up choosing a shop by the name of GAME OVER to do this, since they hooked up my alarm beautifully behind the dash at a good price a few months back. This took them 24hrs what a great turn around and it looks pretty awesome. Now I can finally install my door panels.

1278013660.jpg

1278013661.jpg

Here's my updates, passenger door panel...? DONE
Door panel test fit - reveals one screw doesn't line up. Un-clip blue plastic nut and relocate

New plastic nut location is factory of course just poke a whole in the plastic and re-install

Test fit again - Reveals Harness for window switch is a bit short. Easy fix un-clip from door skin

here's what I did today guys. Got started at 9:30ish and finished up around 2:00pm. So 4 - 4 1/2hrs, 1 pastrami sandwich, 1 glass of dp, and 1 strawberry shortcake later I finally finished the driver side install.

Nice build mate! If you were here in Greece you would probably stopped by police because of the sedan model and the blacked out windows. This sedan has a bad fame in Greece cuz its cheap and some russian, bulgarian, albanian gangs buy it. Cool by the way ;)

HAHAHA! Yeah I dont get hassled as much as I thought I would here in CA. Guess I'm really lucky compared to greece.

So I can no longer contain myself. Plus I want to be an active contributing member to the forum

Back in 02/10 I had bought a GSR swap w/ ITR cams. ;) W/ passing bar in mind.

{ original - commentary .....got it with everything pictured, fairly cheap, with bill of sale. The piston rings were said to be bad. So I took it apart as soon as I got the thing. What a tedious day. Got a lot of cleaning and sprucing up to do. I Opened this thing up to do my own analysis, and part confirmation. I know oil leaked into the cyl. via worn spark plug gasket seals but upon tear down I found some other junk, a chewed piston. Darn, more money. No dropped valves, but it appears something had fell inside and was tossed around. The good news is the machine shop said I could do it myself w/ a dremel, and clean up the head, they were cool and helpful. However I chose to let them go ahead and give it a once over. The block will be bored out .25 and will receive new pistons, rings, bearings etc. Maybe some shot peening too maybe. Money is not so abundant. }

breakdown day 1 continued

Truth carnage

End of day 1 - Parts binned/stock piled

I did a lot of reading before I went w/ a swap. So when this came I already had in motion, or ideally in motion, the things I wanted to do. A few things changed as they were not readily avail. My block returned from the machine shop 3-1-10

p73 pistons were not avail. at the time of purchase so I bought USDM pr3's - The old pistons, Nitrous abused ( the seller said, just drop the motor in, and it'll drive- hahaha glad I wasn't that dumb. Fool me once, shame on you! Fool me twice, shame on me! but never you'll fool me again! )

Got my gasket kit, not using their cheap HG, but the rest of seals are on par w/ oem. Then I went w/ Topline Headstuds - Factory Replacement made by arp for this co. 40-60% stronger than stock. Which I later sold because I scored some ARP's

3-8-10 I sent my TB off to max bore - and my head returned from the machine shop. 8 valve guides were bad, had to have some exhaust bolts re-tapped, head was slightly warped, and some other minute things. Costing an additional $200. I had them add dual vs on the exhaust side later on.

TB before

3-18-10 I received my new pulley & hoses

3-19-10 MY TB arrives back from maxbore ( side by side B&A )

3-21-10 I found a local selling cam gears & T-Belt at a good price

3-24-10 basic block assy.

3-28-10 I decided to clean up some parts
