My new civic eg6 b18


it`s gash init , also to top it off majorly scuffed front drivers alloy earlier , needs a refurd and a respray , cant wait for the summer night to come in ..
 
Yea would be grate if you could get some shots as i need to find a cage that enables me to keep the rear seats at least usable and be a practical good cage aswell, plus without cutting into the dash. :nice:

Yo man Its a safety 21 bolt in cage , yes the rear seats are still in the car there is a removable diagonal bar that can be easily removed when passengers are in the car . To be totally honest the cage is extremely impractical in the car and I may in time just remove the back seats as there isnt much room with the diagonal bar and the other across the rear foot wells . Does feel great in the car much safer and makes the eg feel extremely planted . I could get a few snaps of the cage for you at the weekend this might be better than me explaining .

Topher - really ye was it for sale then , it was out of my pricerange aswell however went to view and loved it so had to sell some odds and ends to get the cash together .

haha good man, i ended up buying an EG6 SiR II a blue one with feels parts you prob saw that for sale also lol.
anyway thats gone now.
enjoy your EG i may think of getting another one. something about them thats bitten me and won't go away lol.

Ha, so finally I can see where my money ended up :) I am just sorting a few things out on the EK9, she's going to be back on the road at the beginning of april. Your new toy is truly stunning! BTW, any of you EK9-ers from Glasgow - would you have some time for a complete newbie? I could do with some advice, mainly on maintenance and few other things? Or do you guys meet so I can maybe join you for a wee chat?

I thought the EG6 only had SiR II and SiR-S.

I have a 92 EG6 it doesn't really say on the car licencing, on the original paper it just stated Civic vtec-SiR.

Would that mean mine is the early SiR I model ???
 
Always loved this car, had a good look around it when i was down picking up my EK9 from John and David, that's 3.5 years ago now :lol:

cheers for the comments chaps , just had a new steering rack fitted so should be out this weekend for a blast , fingers crossed its dry .. yes its a 91 as far as im aware its just and sir II any info would be great .. Ye steven david seemed mega into his imports came across as quite a technical guy (good bloke to get a car from) .

Hi Marek glad to hear your taking good care of the 9 youll love it when its on the road . id be happy to give you a hand doin odds and ends to the car and sure I could bring a couple guys off here to . Ill keep you informed about when were meeting as I still have your numb . glad you like the eg man . look forward to seeing the 9 again .

Ha, thought you might join the forum. Good few of us from Glasgow mate, you now own my 1st ever ek9 take care of it :p although mark said your a good guy so all good :D all the best with her.

my 'S' came with a cobra alarm system which looks like its meant to be ther but duno if it came out the factory with it.

Whats the future plans for the car? Spec is masive and it is a minter but are you thinking of changing or adding anything? Keep us updated :)

will be getting some tein ss coilovers , brake upgrade and taking the back seats out . Hoping to do some track days this summer and ill take it from there . this is my second car which is ideal so wont be running up mega miles or thrashing it on the bad road conditions around ggow .
