My EK4 SiR

Think its time i startd one of these.. I've had my SiR for nearly a year now and its never put a foot wrong.. *touch wood*

Here's some pic's the day i got it..

It had a good service and a few little mods, just a panel filter, head unit and gearknob.. Oh and the clifford alarm..

Next few things i done were 8k hid's, lowered it, and sorted out some good speakers.. Had to pull the hid's out a few months ago cuz they acted up but i'll get another set sortly..

Stayed like that for a few months then I came across a mugen front lip, type r rear lip and a type r grill.. sprayed them in a shed and job done, bar the paint fade on the rear bumper..

Got this induction kit off my mates type r, stayed on for a month and i swaped back to the standard air box, It made more noise then gains i reckon..

Was grand for a while till i hit a pothile on the way to work one day and kill my front lip.. But i'd wanted to change it for a while so was no big deal..

Came across a standard SiR lip and i think it really does look the better then the mugen lip i had before.. I got lip of the rear lip too but kept the grill,

I fitted a Fujitsubo cat back system, looks well and sounds good.. Also fitted a decat along the line somewhere..

Also got the car dyno'd at couture auto in meath, It made 160 at the fly and 132 at the wheels..

It'll be gettin a lick of paint pretty sound, just have to get a few bits out of the way first.. There is 120km's on the clock but being a jap import i doubt it.. It came in with 90k on it last year..!!

I've been writing a project thread on www.dtdirl.com, so I've copied most from there so some bits might not make sence..!!

So been a busy few weeks, between stripping bits off the ek9 and trying to see what i want to keep and sell...

so when i dragged the carpet a seats out they looked like so..

With a call to mnr valets they got a good clean and came up well.. cheers rob.. bt

oh and while the sun was out i got a bit more done.. Fitted a nice 4 branch, 5zigen i think.

as for the few hp's running away over time i think this maybe to do with it..

tried to clean most of the carbon off but i'm not worried about it..

didn't drive the car much after fitting it so can't really give a verdict but car feels a bit more jumpy and rev happy. but will give it a roasting, i mean spin tomorrow..

The engine.. Got loads of people on to me about this but i think i'll enjoy building it, To what level i don't know yet but will defo be running 110% when i'm finished..

Here it is as i got it..

sold the box and lashed it on the stand..

stripped and binned alot of stuff that was still hanging on..

I've pulled the rocker cover off and had a good look around the block as it had fire damage i'm checking everything, altho there is oil and coolant still in the block and head so i think its still good, but i'll wait and see what the insides look like..



I got volks.. rapped in T1R's..

also have this waiting to go in too..

Got kinda bored yesterday so i stuck in the spoon strut brace and ek9 rear seats.. only got a crapy pic with my fone tho

Also picked up the brake caliper seals from jap autos in ashbourne last week and fitted them with the help of johnny_G.. wouldn't have got them on otherwise.. thanks man.. bt

What was a good feeler gauge are now Brake-caliper-seal-tools lol

So gettin all the bits together, Big thanks to kevtegra for sorting me out with a pile of parts.. bt

And in the corner is a load of crap and in there somwhere is my 5 stud hubs..

And i started to strip out the B16B a bit more.. Got the head off and cleaned out the cams and pistons. All looks good so far.. bt

all cleaned..ish... hahah

And the cams, here i have 2 sets of ek9 cams and there all the same sizes but just wondering what the letters on them means..?

So, Just have to get some brake discs and sort out my drive shafts and i'am good to go.. watch this space..

Gotta stick a few more bit on like the rear ek9 anti roll bar, new wheel nuts, new discs and pads.. Oh and get it tracked and alined!!
