MTS Garage Racebase EK9

sick motor! love it.

looks great on the steel wheels!

Be more careful with the trolley jacks on this one lol

Thanks :)

Yes it's a Spoon Street, I should of put that in the post.

Hah! I will do this time Joe.

Beutiful race base! how many km? strip it down, roll cage and racing rims is all she needs!

Picked up a Recaro last week. Got some side mounts on the way too.

I got hold of some MeisterR SuperRace coilovers, spring rates are 16k up front and 12k rear. I cleaned them up, copper greased the threads and sent the springs off for shot blast and powdercoat.

Great build, the car looks extremely clean and original with the bonus of being a racebase :)

Looking forward to seeing a nice set of wheels on the car

going all out!

im surprised the oem police havent been round to replace your knees yet! lol!

looks amazing. looks fun :)

Who cares about the OEM police, those steel wheels & seats look totally stupid.

Owner is doing a good job!

Thanks for the comments, I collected the steel for the rails earlier so I'll start them in the morning. My week off is going too fast!

Fabricated the rail for the Recaro today, really happy with how it came out.

First up I made the two side strips. They had to be as wide as they were due to the lip on the side mounts.

Once the side pieces were made and tacked in place I put the seat in to find the best position.

With the seat placement marked I drilled the holes for the side mounts and tacked in the support bars. I test fitted it for the last time before finally welding it together.

The finished article, I'll get it powder coated when I collect my springs next week.
