Love this car soo clean! Any chance of getting the part number off your steering rack? Be handy to price an oem non power steering rack from honda...
 
Amazing project! I had never seen before a racebase model.
It really needed some wheels! haha

Hey mate, no cant make mimms or jap fest, gutted asi live in essex so not far. Currently in qatar working so miss both shows.
 
Could be your car I spotted in Walsall earlier today.

I think it looks fantastic on the steelies, original and clean (I imagine pretty light weight too). Caught my keen eye as soon as you passed me on Wolverhapton Road (if it was you).

I'd love to see the car in person. But currently don't drive something quite as cool so would feel a little out of place..

That was more than likely me, I was about looking local 172s, 182s and EP3s with a friend.

Is this black 106 GTI Rushy? If so I still live by your mom and dads!

I am indeed. Aha I'm not too far from there myself, folks have dug up now and moved to a nice big house away from the "man demz".

That's me, but no longer have the GTi. Sold up a while back as the car wasn't being used whilst I was working abroad. I feel I deserve a nice new car soon enough, something like this Race Base would be awesome. Would love to see it in the flesh.

The forum isn't quite the same. Then again a lot of the main West Mids lot have moved on like myself. Still a great bunch of lads when we do eventually catch up.

Yeah would love to scope it out one of the times. Busy schedule of late but hoping things calm down towards summer. No rush, if you aren't also busy.

I actually spotted you yet again yesterday morning on the M6 between J8 and J7. I was driving the faded red J reg 106. I was on my way to work. Was pretty early. Assume you were on the way to Mimms?

Headed down to Mimms this weekend, had a great time and looking forward to Japfest next month.

I met up with a few guys on the way and Sean took a few convoy pictures.

Huge wheel envy, TE37's have to be the ultimate for an EK9 followed by CE28N's.
 
Love this car, really looks like a great example, I like the fact it doesn't have pointless bits bolted to it all over the place,

I like the steel wheels as well, more than oem alloys, but the te37's are a great choice

Seeing this makes me want another ek9 but the chances of finding one so good is small now days
