Mellow Yellow EK9

Dusted off the camera and the car this weekend. Some long overdue pictures:

Oh my days. Lovely lovely car man. Nice subtle wee drop and would be perfect. Looks mega clean as well.

looks so good. how you have refrained from ruining this by swapping the engine, ripping out the interior etcetc il never know haha.

Cheers for all the kind comments...Very much appreciated

haha It gets easier as time passes. Only option is to commit fully, buying awesome mods for everything, or leave it OEM... Too many halfway EK9's.

How is yours?... Has it now been completely abandoned in the quest for economic knowledge?

Mine basically. Did you recently refurb the teg wheels? I wish I kept mine

Haha No no. EK9 rebuilds get top points.

The teg wheels just got covered in a massive amount of Iron X. They came up really well but took a long time. Up close you can see flaking and they really could do with a refurb... Used as track wheels though so not much point.

Looks great Martin. Nice to see such a well kept & maintained standard model.

hahah yes pretty much. iv got a research type place starting in september so il have a stipend so might get it out for a bit, but unlikely if i still live in glasgow/across the road from uni. who knows, its crap but what can you do.

Lovely car man but I don't fancy the dc2 wheels in white on the car, maybe in gunmetal and a bit of a drop I think it would look perfect but still a very nice car :)

Haha! Rebuild points are the most expensive points. Thinking about the EP3 brake set up as well, but don't see any point if it's still the B16B. Have you felt any difference? On track that is. Might be taking the motor up to KH next month

Do return... Doing research work at the moment myself. All done with Uni yet?

I don't doubt it.

The brakes are immense. They take more abuse than I am capable of giving them and noticeably improve stopping distance. Would definitely recommend if your thinking of doing several track days a year. Give me a shout if your getting something booked...Looking at doing a trip or two to Knockhill this summer.

Looks absolutely awesome Martin :nice:

Appreciated Rippu...Will need to get myself along to one of the meets to catch up man :nice:

Im looking at booking onto the MU tracknight in August. Last year was great with good driving standard, so no need to worry about others. Should come along to that.
