Mattyssb's black caged ITB'd K24 EK9

Little bit of an update, haven't had chance for a while with work being stupidly busy and just not having to motivation to push on with the car buttt.. Managed to get some things done.

After swapping back to OEM pedals and servo/mc's because the pedal box was turning into the biggest nightmare :angry2:
I've bought a tilton lever bias valve.

The ktuned shifter box seemed like the perfect mount for it, so I drilled and tapped the side of it (sorry ktuned) needs must!

Brake lines routes away from the exhaust manifold as best I can

Finally decided what I wanted to use as a switch panel..

Fitted up, nice and close to the driver :D

Water plate to the electric water pump line made up.

Hate carbon wrap, but actually looks decentish as a roll cage protector

Drilled and tapped the Titan throttle body manifold for a vacuum port, ready to run the lines to a vacuum manifold for the booster and possibly a map sensor, not 100% if I want to run one yet

Got on with a lot of the wiring, got the main chuck of battery/killswitch/alt/starter sorted. Just need to figure out what I'm doing with the rest yet.

Fia rain light and its switch terminated

Completely remade custom Headlight loom, pretty much sorted.

One of the main power wires to the rywire standalone fuse box.

Gauge loom terminated

Started to make up a fusebox/relay panel for all the aux stuff like lights, wipers, external fuel pump, water pump, etc etc

First rough go. Think I need to actually make a proper mount plate and find where it's going to go in the car before I go any further, so I know what I'm working with.

Been waiting for an update :)) was starting to worry about you!
Nice update man, this is going to be just perfect when you're finished.

The switch pannel is very trick.

Causally bought 2x more 16x8 et30's as spares haha
Probably will try and sell them and buy a set of team dynamics at some point.

Little bit of heat management, got some titanium heat wrap ready to go on the manifold this week :D

Excellent progress, really impressive attention to detail especially with the custom wiring and gadgets

This wagon will be too good to race by the time its finished!

Thanks dude :)
Never! I'll get her out and give her some battle scars soon enough :D

This is incredible. Absolutely insane man!

Random question, how come you've coiled all the wires before they go into the plugs? Probably a noob question haha.

Well it's actually something you normally don't see because it's always hidden in sealed heatshrunk boots. Mainly on looms in harsh enviroments. Basically it's a stress relief loop, if the loom is tied down tight and something moved etc it gives it a couple mm of movement to stop it pulling on the pins in the plug.
Also if you ever have to repair the wire you can undo to coil and you'll have something extra to play with to fix

Not really needed at all, but it was something I wanted to try, and in theory there is no down side haha

Heat wrapped my manifold this afternoon and fitted it up properly only to find out, where the wideband sensor is located it's actually touching to antiroll bar :angry2: totally my bad when I had it done.

Looks like it all coming back off to be changed around now again :D

Looked good for about 5 mins though haha

Got my go kart out from the shed at home to give it a full revamp and start to use it, as a bit of practise on track I guess! Much cheaper than track days that's for sure haha!
Bit rough but has been sat for a good 5/6 years
It's a arrow a18 racing frame with
2x Briggs and Stratton 206cc world forumla engines on carbs, originally my dads kart that he built!
I remember it being crazy fast and I was always too scared to use it on both engines haha!!

Can't wait to get it out again, see how it goes. May have to remove one of the engines haha!

Also decided to take the plunge and buy a tig welder (future investment I guess!)
Decided to go with a r-tech AC/DC 160tig
Ordered up some gas and a new helmet today, let's see if I can get some more cool ass bits made for the 9 :D
