matt black


You can get a 'factory' looking finish with rattle cans from halfords, just be prepared for some serious trial & error. I did this on my old motorbike and although I had to flat back and start again a few times, in the end I got that finish perfect:

what did u put on after the paint? a coat off matt clear coat. or did u just leave it..is it hard to look after it.. like polish wax ect?

I just left it in the end but I wish I'd have put a coat of matt laquer on it - the finish was pretty easily marked and I think a laquer would have sorted that. Plasti-kote do a good matt laquer.
 
ive an old mk3 astra as my daily driver but this summer when i driving my ek9 all the time i'm gonna paint it matte black. i've read a little about the matt laqur and was not sure to use it..as i read matt black can be hard to look after... I'm gonna try go for the rat look with me little old astra......
 
Nice NC35 (RVF400) there mate. I had one of them a few years ago, great bike to throw about. Got a '07 ZX6R Ninja now, so moved on a little bit.
 
heard you could see nothing but finger marks when you wer prepin the car man, you get that sorted ok? cant wait to see it finished. from jokeshopbeard's comments id go with a laquer of some sort... that bike looks class btw. davey post a pic of the matt black civic with the yellow wheels.
 
erm was a couple of figure prints round Da mirror of driver door sorted now. kinda can guess who told u that stu only 3 people knew bout that and 2 of them havent been bout town all weekend. pics be up 2moz. eres pic of matt black with yellow wheels.

Yeah, was a great little bike that - I'm onto a '07 CBR600RR now, couldn't stray from the mighty H!!

Will be getting some pics of it up soon so stay tuned.

aw rite..... Anyway painting car at the minute nearly down another coat and the roof. took some pics but going out here to finish it and put bumper on mabey
 
took a couple but there not great, here they are anyway illl have 1 up of car kinda finished 2mora. I aim to have the complete car finish up by friday. need to put d2's back in and new wheels on
 
oh man its looking sooooooooo good i really like.. you will have to do a full write up and step by step guide up pic's
