Magnetic sump/tranny bolts worth the bother?

Hi any one have an opinion on this?

What is the best make to go for as saw a thread a while ago about a super powerful set but can't find it now?

Any help would be great.

M factory sell the mega powerfull magnet ones, i have a set, i woudlnt call a mahnetic sump plug essential but it cant hurt and easy to fit when your changing fluids so i would reccomend them,
 
Definitely worth it I'd say. For the small outlay/cost, if they're helping to protect my engine, then it's gotta be all good.
 
I just got some spoon ones :) don't know how strong they are but I've never heard any bad things about them...
 
For the sake of €20 you can't go wrong, I got mine off ebay and its fairly powerful, does be a c*nt to get back in when changing the oil and I always find smart particles on it so I can defo say they work
 
Id go for the Mfactory set have them on my own car. Real good strong magnet on them:nice:

Years ago I got and still have my Spoon plug set. IMO, still one of the more beautifully crafted ones with a steel bolt that is countersunk at the head.

It really is too bad that the magnet isn't as strong as the ones we sell.
 
not so essential for the gearbox as there should already be a large magnet built into the box, saying that though i bought both plugs just to be safe, changed the fluid on my gearbox the other day and the plug had very small magnetic particles on it, i have a clutch type lsd though so wear is expected.
haven't fitted the engine plug yet but will be fitting on next oil change for added peace of mind.
have you considered tegiwa plugs? they are very strong magnets
 
I got the set from M Factory and they are great, well made and the magnets are very strong, they cant do any harm, and for the relatively low price they are well worth adding to your ride. Well recommended, go for the M Factory set, good price, good service, and well made product.
